CHAPTER EIGHT
At the start of October, it seemed the year took a faster pace. You had now no time to think about anything but your O.W.Ls. The task of finding a Grindylow had been delayed by you on the argument that you had a lot to study already. The air was getting colder, Halloween was around the corner and the Quidditch season was about to start.
You had been invited to watch the training session of the Gryffindor team on Angelina and Oliver Wood behalf. You knew the boy grew a penchant for you since your second year. But if you had given him a chance last year by agreeing to meet him at the Three Broomsticks, the only subjects he had talk about was Quidditch. Not that you disliked talking about it, not at all, but at least you would have love to even place one word in the conversation. The twins teased their captain a lot about it, though they didn't understand how he could be attracted by you.
Sat in the tribunes, you were focused in your books however, much to Woods displeased. During the game he was only focused on the rules and the potential victory. But after that, he would harass you to know if you had seen all the moves, all the strength of his team. It was a nightmare. You reckoned they should win the House Cup this year, mostly because you were afraid he would kill himself if they did not. It was Wood last year after all sometime if you thought you would be relived by not having him harassing you anymore it still felt nostalgic. Maybe because you too, approached the end of Hogwarts.
Astronomy and O.W.Ls was opened on your lap while you read at the same time a parchment of your notes in the matter. You were focused on the lessons you had already taken the last weeks, noting and learning everything. The head far in the astronomy tower, you forgot you were in the tribunes when suddenly a whizz of wind came disturbing you. The pages of your book flapped madly and your parchment was blew at your feet. You closed your eyes out of surprise and didn't waste time on searching the cause of this sudden swift of wind.George landed next to you and took a seat, expanding his legs on the fence before him, crossing his hands behind his head. Wood was already shouting hall-jealous, half-stressed that he was missing an important move. The rest of the was busy training, but George didn't bother listing to his Captain. You rose an eyebrow at him but frowned while fumbling for your roll on the floor.
'Aaaah. Came to support Wood, you know he's made about you right ? You're breaking his heart not rising up your nose from your dusty books.' He said.
Since your last argument things had been weird between you two. Having saying such mean words had smoothed things out, not that you did not loathed each other anymore, but you did tolerate each other a bit better. This resulted in a lot of teasing strangely. And for Fred, he couldn't stop flirting with you. Of course you knew he was making fun of you, so you did rebuffed him all the time.
Right now you ignored him, getting back to work, unbothered by his presence. He just stayed here, watching you work, ignoring Woods shouts. But after a few minutes you found yourself asking him what he was doing here.
'Why aren't you training ? Having illusions that you're too good at Quidditch ?' You asked lazily.
'Yeh, I think so. You don't agree ?'
Still the nose in your roll you answered vaguely to him.
'No I do not. I reckon your violence in the games are an advantage and you might be the best Beater of the team since a long time. But you lack speed and you could improve your techniques.' You said.
You suddenly slammed you roll down and looked intensely at the boy. He had the head rest on his fist while his eyes were fixed on you. You did not realize what you had said. His quidditch uniform displayed his muscular arms in this position. He had a slight smile and mischievous eyes, you looked at him dully however.
