CHAPTER 28 :
You were squeezed between Hermione's mattress and Ginny's bed in the tiny room of the Weasley's daughter (and that for the rest of the week poor you). Just beneath the window the light curtains were filtering the moon rays which lighted up the room softly. However peaceful was the night you couldn't find sleep. Your brain won't shut up about the incident in the kitchen. It was like being overwhelmed by emotions you weren't familiar with. First there was Fred, with whom you totally lost your mind with, because he was your friend. Only that. You knew it deep in your heart. Then Charlie, who made you feel like...like you were seen. Seen in a different light. That twat made you blushed and giggle like a child in front of a rainbow or and ice cream. You never really fancied a boy before, but he was different, he was so...so...raw. He was like flying at sunset in a Romanian forest. What was even that supposed to mean for godric's sake. He was older, more mature, George and Fred should take example, you thought. Seriously how were they related even.
You couldn't sleep with all those thoughts. As a results you fought your way out of the room tip toeing towards the door, praying that the creaking floor would not sing the melody of your night walk dance.
Step by step you reached the corridor, you decided to head to the kitchen. Your watch told five in the morning. You poured yourself a glass of water, but couldn't remember where Molly put the glasses, not allowed to use magic you frowned and puffed. You looked everywhere in the silent room, the window showed the dark nature that surrounded the house, it could even be scary for a moment. As you sunk in the view, your eyes met with the trees not so far away, you approached the window forgetting your thirst. You looked closer, and closer. It was like...something was between them. Or more : someone.
At five in the morning who could possibly be woken up ? You keep looking, the darkness of the night had start fading with the first rays of sun. Lightly and slowly day was settling in. Someone was displaying its back to you, cutting wood away from the house beneath the branches and leafs. And the movements were with too much strength and elegance for it to not be Charlie Weasley. Intrigued and a little excited, you went out to meet him. Of course you checked your hair and face before going.
'Dang I look good' you said to your reflection.
'Oh good morning Y/n !' He said sweaty and out of breath when you approached.
You hoped dawn made your cheeks appeared less red than what they truly looked like right now.
'Felt like exercising I see ?'
'Gotta to keep the muscles fresh and strong.'
'Yeah I see...I m-mean I get it ! I myself workout a lot' you said with a snort which didn't fooled anyone.'
'You do ?'
Your smile faded and he bursted out laughing.
'I am kidding ! But hey you could come running with me in the morning if you want.'
'Pfff are you sure you're gonna keep up ?'
If you're cardio could speak up he would screamed at you to just stop embarrassing yourself.
'It settled then, tomorrow 5:00 am.' He grinned mischievously.
You laughed to hide your pain but really if you could you'd cried. You did not hate sports, you were brilliant at everything. But you were too competitive to admit someone could be better than you and with those two months of focusing only on becoming an Animagus, running or any other physical activity hadn't been your priority.
Later at breakfast Charlie sat right in front of you, displaying a grin you could faint from. He teased you about this morning and the run for the day after, to which you teased back that he should take some force from this breakfast because you were about to crush him and his ego.
