FELICIA'S P.O.V:

"Bryson." I hissed. "What the hell are you doing here."

"Isn't it obvious?" He said. "I'm here to see my favorite person in the world!" He shoved his hands in his jacket pockets and grinned.

The dog was growling beside me, anxious to attack him.

"Okay, first of all, I hate you. And you hate me. Second, you better start talking before I let my dog loose on you." I crossed my arms and winced, still a little sore from my previous battle.

He chuckled. "She looks just like you. Same attitude too."

"What do you want." I snarled.

"Ooh, touchy." He shook his head. "I just came by to get my boy. He was supposed to kill you, but seeing as your still here, I'm guessing it's the other way around."

I shrugged. "There's nothing left of him to get. I already cremated him for ya, so unless you brought a little glass jar, I doubt you'll be taking him home with you."

His face contorted, and his hand smacked me across the face in a split second. I felll to the ground, spitting blood. The dog lunged for him, but he ran back. She paused, then came to sit by me.

I felt rush of air, and his hand gripped my throat. "This isn't over, bitch. I'll be back." The dog growled again, and he grinned. "And I'll kill your little bitch while I'm at it too."

I pushed him back, and he released my throat, grunting.

"Tell Shane I'm coming for him. And I'll kill everyone who stands in my way."

He bowed. "Gladly. As I pass your message on, I guess I'll tell my dearest brother too. He does regret what happened."

I snarled and through a fire ball at him. He easily dodged, and came back laughing. "You think it was his fault?! Ha! I brought a side-kick who handled his feelings rather well. He regrets everything, but don't worry. Not for much longer." He grinned and zoomed off, leaving me to scream in frustration.

"Son of a bitch!" I yelled after him.

The dog whined beside me. I sighed and leaned down and scratched her ears. "Just you and me now."

I sat down in the tall wheat and closed my eyes. Guilt dragged in my gut; James would probably die because of me. He didn't mean what he said. Someone else had been controlling him.

I looked down at the dog. "Well, if you're gonna be sticking around me, I need a name for ya."

I scratched her side. "How about...Bandit. Since you're black and white." I smiled and she turned her head and licked my cheek.

"Ew. Gross." I laughed and wiped my cheek. If we survived the next few days, I thought, I will give you a proper home.

I stood up and brushed the dust from my pants. Fixing my helemt, I stared up at the light sky, pondering my next move.

"I can't fly with you. That's a bummer." I frowned.

Suddenly, I remembered one of my parents' gadgets they had. A small disk that could expand and travel very fast for a while.
