Wow. Chapter 28 is here already.

I can't believe it. So i have a confession to make. The only reason i'm writing this chapter right now is because I'm really, really sad so I write.

That's just me.

So, enjoy.

FELICIA'S P.O.V:

I stared down the barrel of the gun, tears prickling in the corner of my eyes.

"James." I repeated, my breath hitching.

He showed no emotion, only pushing the gun harder against my temple.

"Let her go. Or I'll pull the trigger."

I reluctantly dropped the girl to the ground, and she hissed in frustration.

I held my hands up and turned to face James. "James. This isn't you. C'mon, lower the gun and let's talk it out. Please."

I stepped forward, and James lowered the gun and pulled the trigger.

I reeled back, clutching my arm. "James!! What the hell?!" I yelled, and quickly worked on healing the wound.

He stared at me, a dead expression in his eyes.

"C'mon, James. Finish her off." The strange girl flicked her tongue and grinned.

I kept my hand over my bleeding arm and slowly struggled to sit up. He aimed at my head again, and I choked out a sob.

"Please, James. Think! This isn't you!"

He pulled the trigger again, hitting me in my other arm.

I screamed and laid against the cool ground, clenching my teeth against the pain.

He shook his head. "You shouldn't have done that. Now I'm really going to kill you."

He cocked the gun and leveled it with my eyes.

I laid my hands flat on the ground, ignoring the pain it brought me.

"I'm sorry, James."

He scrunched his brows in confusion, right as I pulled upwards. He tumbled backwards, the ground shifting beneath his feet. The gun went off, but I felt no pain.

The bullet barely missed my head, and landed above my shoulder.

Snake shrieked in anger and lunged for me, wrapping her long fingers around my neck.

"Bandit!" I coughed, but Snake only giggled.

"Aww, someone wants their little bitch. Well, a little poison took care of that." She bared her teeth, revealing a set of fangs.

I struggled against her, but her fingers wouldn't budge.

"You know, some people think that snake poison is easily cured. Just a shot of some antidote, and voila! They're healed. But, here's the thing. My venom is...special." Her eyes flared and I saw black liquid pool at the bottom of her fangs.

"There is no cure for my venom. Believe me, I've looked." She chuckled, dripping some venom on my skin. "So I hope you've paid your respects and owned up for your sins. 'Cause where you're going, you're gonna need all the hope you can get."

My vision was beginning to blur, and her eyes seemed to change color.

Suddenly she jerked back, her body flying off me.

She screamed and I gasped for air. Turning my head, I saw the lady holding the gun, aiming it at Snake's chest.

Blood was already seeping through Snake's shirt, but that didn't stop her. She struggled to her feet and walked toward her, even after another bullet landed in her chest.
