Recap:

Shaking my head, I ran a weary hand through my hair. James slid down the tree and stared at me. Josh weakly climbed down and tumbled to the ground. I stepped forward, but James's eyes grew huge.

"Felicia, behind you!" he ran forward, but not before something huge slammed into my back, pinning me to the ground.

The huge weight slumped on my back, and I felt hot breath on my neck. I shivered and looked up. The last monster was grinning down at me, mouth open. Drool dripped next to me, some splashing on my face.

"Sick!" I groaned. It snarled and lunged torward my face.

I sucked in and blew as hard as I could. Fire soared from my mouth into its. It jumped off me, whining in pain. Snarling, it ran off to find the closest river.

James rushed over and lifted me off the ground. I winced and rolled my shoulder, realizing it was dislocated.

"Are you alright?" he gazed at me with worry.

"Yea, I'm fine. Just let me heal my shoulder and get some energy back. I used alot of it." I rested a hand on my shoulder and popped it back in place. Quickly healing it, I turned around and looked for Josh.

He was standing a few feet away, an angry look on his face.

"What's with you?" I asked.

"You!" he snapped. "You're running off and scaring the hell outta us and almost getting killed!"

Something is his eyes didn't look right. I stepped forward and narrowed my eyes. "Why do you look like your ready to pee your pants?"

He frowned. "I don't look like that."

I raised an eyebrow. "Really? Well you can't really see your face and we can, and you do look like you're about to pee your pants."

"I'm fine! Why don't you worry about your own ass for once!" he snapped.

"Hey, calm down. She just saved your life!" James stepped up and glared at Josh.

Josh shook his head. "She can't keep throwing herself into danger like that! She's going to get herself killed!"

As I studied his face, something inside me clicked. "You're working for HIM aren't you?" I clenched my fists at my side.

Josh went pale and he stepped back. "I-well...I can explain."

"You damn well better! Why are you even here?!"

He shrunk back against the tree, fear showing in his eyes. "I said I can explain."

"And you will!" I swept my hand forward and a coat of ice plastered him to the tree. He stared at me in shock. "I'm not here to hurt you!"

"We'll make that decision." James folded his arms and glowered at Josh.

"Start talking." I growled.

"Will you let me out of here?" he whined. "Being coated in ice isn't exactly fun."

"Only when you tell me what's going on!" I raised my voice. "I'm sick of secrets, I'm sick of lies! So please just start talking. I will read your mind if I have too."
