RECAP:
We stared at each other for a split second.
"You've got to be kidding me." he sighed.
I rolled my eyes. "You know what, I'm just going to fly up and see which way we should go. How about that?"
"Oh, I wouldn't do that if I were you." A sing-song voice laughed at us from behind. "And don't look for me. You're not going to find me!"

I spun around and immediately took a defensive pose. James sighed and copied my movements.
"Where are you?" I yelled at the forest.
"Felicia, it just said that we wouldn't find it. I don't think it's going to tell us where it is." he sighed.
I glowered at him. "I'm trying to get some movement so I can pinpoint a location."
"By using what?"
I narrowed my eyes and smiled. "Earthbending. And I got her."
I smashed my foot down and shoved outward. The ground collapsed in a straight line toward the base of a tree. I felt the girl veer off to the right and I pulled upward, causing the earth to wrap around her invisible feet and trap her to the ground.
I placed my foot gently on the ground and observed the vibration I got from her. I gasped when I saw a small, helpless little girl trapped under my rocky prison.
"James, it's just a little girl." I glanced at him, shocked.
He rushed forward to where the end of my trail was wiggling. He knelt down and poked the air, trying to decipher her location. Suddenly he reared back, shaking his hand.
"Ouch! She bit me!"
I came and knelt down next to him. "Look, we don't want to hurt you. We can help you."
"Lemme go!" suddenly a small girl appeared on the ground next to me, her skin changing back to normal color. She glared at us, fear burning in her bright green eyes.
"Look, we're not going to hurt you." James said.
"You already did!" she struggled to free herself.
"If I set you free, will you promise not to run away?" I raised my hand, prepared to release the chain of rock around her ankle.
She hesitated before slumping her shoulders. "Fine."
I gingerly removed it and watched as she sat up and rubbed her ankle. "What are you?"
I pursed my lips. "What's that supposed to mean?"
"Are you an alien?" she cocked her head.
James coughed I resisted the urge to punch his shoulder.
"No. I'm not. You were invisible when I caught you, so does that make you an alien?" I crossed my arms.
She glowered at me. "No! I'm just part chameleon! You know, the animal. You are something different."
I sighed. "Listen, kiddo. I'm a mutant. So is James here." I gestured to him. "We're...different than humans."
She bit her lip nervously. "Is that why my mommy tried to hurt me?"
