Chapter 8 - Lessons

6.50. My annoying alarm rings loudly in my ear. Ffs. How is it Monday already. The novelty of a fresh start with sixth form has fully worn off. I cannot be bothereddd.

I drag myself out of bed, get ready, eat and head to my favourite place ever.Not. Me and the girls had a full debrief of the party at Wagamama's on Saturday evening, after we had all got over our hangovers. This included an extensive talk about Meg and Jamie's night. Meg was obviously really excited about loosing her v-card, not only that but she rambled about how caring Jamie was not only after but also during. I'm so happy Megs found someone who treats her how she deserves! Nova also spilled the tea that her and Ryan are going to go on a little study date kinda thing which is so cute, they must have really hit it off on Friday. It was so unexpected yet makes so much sense, I've got to what hear Ryan's opinions are asap!!

Then as per usual the conversation landed on me. I'm such a confident person around my friends but as soon as the.. well yeah Rob topic comes up I feel all nervous. I explained how he'd waited to see if I needed walking home and how earlier on he said I looked pretty and then I mentioned how I said goodbye. Well kissed him goodbye. On the cheek. They all squealed and Avery said "AHAH go on D! That's our girl."

I smiled and replied "I don't know what happened its like this wave of confidence came over me and I just had the urge to kiss him."

"As you should!" Laughed Meg. We had a great time at wagas so then went back to Avery's to make a celebratory cake. With our professional baking skills it obviously turned out beautifully, and tasted gorgeous, it looked a little like this..

Sunday was spent doing homework in my room, it poured with rain all day, classic Ireland weather. I had to take Woody out on a rainy walk and got absolutely drenched so proceeded to have a everything shower ready for another week of schooollll ahhh. I slept so badly, not sure why but I just kept waking up all night long.

So yeah now I'm walking to school half asleep and alone. Avery has 2 free periods this morning! 2! Shes so lucky, if only I could be sleeping in on a Monday morning.

The bell rings loudly breaking me from my daydream. Just one more lesson to get through then I can go home for a well deserved nap. It's geography and 2 hours of it, I'm yet to see Rob at school, praying it wont be awkward.  "C'mon Delilah" Nova smiles dragging me up from my chair.
"Ughh please no." I laugh grabbing my heavy bag that's stuffed with folders.

Me and Nova walk along together as her psychology's on the way to geography. I wave her bye saying "have fun next to Ryan" winking at her. She just smirks back. I walk in the classroom it's still pretty empty. I sit down and slowly get my books out.
A few minutes later Elijah walks in, followed by Rob. "Afternoon lads." Mr Gibbons says.
"Hi sir." They both say whilst finding their seats. Rob walks over to the back of the room with a small smile on his face. "Alright Lils" he asks as he sits next to me. "Yeah good thanks, you?" I respond.
"Yeah not bad." he says. We barely get a chance to talk because Mr Gibbons decides to ramble at us for like 45 minutes straight. I can feel my eyelids becoming heavier and I can't help yawning when watching the boring video sit put on. I didn't realise is that I was beginning to fall asleep. I let myself drift off..

"Lils, wake up." I hear a quiet whisper from the right of me. "Huh what." I grumble confused.
"C'mon quick sirs handing out sheets." Rob chuckles gently lifting my head from his shoulder. Shit I just fell asleep on Robs shoulder! I quickly sit up properly and try to wake myself up from that unexpected slumber.
"Bit tired then?" He smiles at me.
"Yeah sorry about that I didn't realise well yeah I'd fallen asleep." I respond slightly embarrassed.
"You're all good Gibbons barely notices a thing even on the front row let alone the back corner." Rob says.
"Yeah that was lucky." I smile, then I'm cut off by sirs voice.
"These sheets I've just handed out have all the information you need to know about your upcoming homework. For this I want you to research a location from the list of options in terms of its human geography you have 2 weeks to do this so I expect a pretty high level of detail."

Eli turns around to give me and Rob an annoyed look. I smile back. The workload of this place is getting annoying.

"You're free to go once you've finished the summary worksheet for the video." Said Mr Gibbons.
Shoot I never finished my worksheet. I look over to Robs sheet he's only written a little more than me. I lock eyes with him.
"What do you say we make a runner?" He questions with a slight smirk on his face.
"I mean yeah why not." I respond grabbing my bag.
Eli's already walking out the door, as other people start handing their sheets in me and Rob quickly speed for the exit. "Did I get your twos sheets..." We heat Mr Gibbons voice shout..
Eli's waiting outside the door, Rob grabs his arm and drags him round the corner as we speed away laughing.
"What's that about." Eli stands there confused.
"We didn't do much work so did a runner." I giggle trying to catch my breath.
"Doubt the guys will remember by next lesson."Rob says.
"Yeah he can remember my name, I mean come on Gibbons you've only been teaching me for the past like 4 years of school." Eli starts. "Saw you falling asleep there Lila don't blame you."
"Well you can't really blame me 2 hour lessons last period kill me off." I smile.
"It's worse when sir barely lets us get a word in, he likes the sound of his own voice wayy to much." Rob says.
"Yeah and that bloody homework I mean when am I gonna find the time for that." I say.
"Exactly we've got a band get going not geography." Eli responds.
"Oh yeah are we practicing this week?" Rob questions.
"Yeah we've got to pick a day I've been practicing this new tune on guitar which would be cool to get some lyrics written to." Eli says
"Oh cool." I say.

We walk home then go our separate ways. Thank goodness I can chill tonight I'm in desperate need for an after school nap.

It's been ages Ikkk sorry I've been so busy recently that this chapter has been gradually taking ages to write. The romance stuff will build up more soon but yeah like I've said I'm going for more of a slowburn kinda thing. Hopefully the next chapter won't take like a month for me to get out lol thanks for reading alonggg
