Tully pov:
Serana and myself rode on my daedric horse heading through the thick marsh toward the capital of Skyrim, the hold of the imperial legion, the place of the blue palace, and the home of the recently deceased high king Torygg. As we kept riding we passed one of the standing stones called the apprentice stone. We were met with the rapids of the river forcing us to follow the river west towards dragon bridge. After a half hour of riding west, we crossed the stone bridge called dragon bridge we rode through the road and passed the penitus oculatas outpost being careful to not draw unwanted attention to ourselves as we made our way towards Solitude I felt a tug in my heart as we neared Solitude it was an instinctual pull that I held in the back of my head as we passed through the gateway. Once we were in the city square it appeared we had just missed an execution of some sort as I walked towards the path that led to the Blue Palace passing the hall of the dead, the bards collage, and the local blueblood Erikur spouting his entitled exaggerated bullshit. As we passed through the front gate the view of the Blue Palace was as beautiful as I remember.
As we entered the palace the guardsmen at the foot of the stairs walked over and stopped us from going any further. " Hold it, what your business here? we have enough concerns with the local crazy already pestering the Jarl about undead at Wolfskull Cave." My eyes widened under my masked necromancer hood as I was very familiar with Wolfskull Cave. " Well perhaps then I'll ask the Steward if I could handle this little inconvenience, and free up his and the Jarl's plate some." I Persuaded the guard who relented and let me and Serana up the stairs where said 'crazy man' was on his knees begging the Jarl to do something about Wolfskull Cave. " Excuse me, I apologize for the interruption, but I couldn't help but overhear something about Wolfskull Cave, would you mind explaining it to me please?" I asked in a soft tone although I didn't have the silver tongue Myra had I could hold my own in a conversation. The Jarl and Steward shot me a look of relief and the steward mouthed to me a thank you. " W-well sir as I was telling them, my friend and I were coming from dragon bridge and we were attacked by skeletons, my friend managed to fight them off but they dropped something I was going to show them but the stubborn steward wouldn't let me!" The man vented in a frustrated tone as he put the roll of cloth down and unrolled it for me and the room to see. Upon seeing the emblem on the tapestry any doubts in my mind were swept away.
