It was my first day of kindergarten, and to be honest, I was terrified. What if nobody wanted to be my friend? What if they didn't like me? I was worried that I wouldn't make any friends.
"Hi there!" a cheery voice said. I turned and saw a little boy my age, he had pale blue eyes, and light brown hair.
"Hi," I said, shyly.
"I'm Louis, what's your name?"
"I'm Ella."
"That's a nice name. Wanna be best friends?" He had the biggest smile on his face, and he seemed really nice. I nodded, and we ran off to the playground to play. We sat together, we ate lunch together, we played together, we did everything together. But after school, something horrible happened.
"Ella! Over here love!" my mum called.
"Mummy! I made a new friend!"
"Oh really? Who?"
"His name is Louis, and he's really nice. There he is over there!" I pointed to where Louis was with a woman I guessed was his mum. I looked at my mum excitedly, but she wore a scowl on her face. She was about to say something, when Louis ran over to me.
"Hi Ella! Is that your mum? Hi! I'm Louis!" he said, excitedly. His mum looked at my mum and scowled.
"Louis! Get away from her now! I forbid you to talk to that girl! Get in the car!" she shouted. Louis waved, tears in his eyes, and ran back to his mum.
"You, stay away from my son!" she shouted at me. I started crying, and my mum scooped me up and took me to the car.
"Mum, why was that lady so mean?"
"She's a Tomlinson. It's how they're born," she replied flatly. But Louis wasn't mean. He was the nicest person in the whole world, and even if his mum won't allow it, we will be best friends forever. When we got to our small house, I got out of the car, ran past my mum, ignored my dad, and went straight to my room.
I looked out the second story window, and saw Louis. He was in the house behind ours. I waved to get his attention, and he waved back, looking much happier. I got out a marker, and paper and wrote 'our secret friendship' best I could and put it in the window. He smiled and nodded. We had a secret, and no one but us knew about it.
We spent every day together, whenever we could be together, we were. We always got the same class all throughout elementary school. His mum of course, wasn't happy when she found out I was in his class every single year. In middle school, we had all honors classes, and the same schedule. We stayed the greatest of friends through thick and thin. We met secretly at the park, whenever we could. We could, and never would, be separated.
