Chapter 8

So sorry for the late update! I've been a little busy lately with practice! I have a test coming up in band and it's REALLY hard! So here's a miracle chapter for you guys (:

Louis' mum was furious when she found out we were dating. She kicked Louis out, but she let him get his stuff. I heard Johanna and Mark yelling last night about it. The next morning I was reading, when a knock at the door changed my life. I got up and went downstairs. I opened the door to reveal-

"Mrs. Tomlinson?"

"Hello Ella." She looked upset, but maybe it was just because she was fighting with Mark last night.

"Can I help you with something?" I was just surprised she wasn't swinging a rolling pin at me.

"I wanted to talk to you. May I come in?" I stepped aside and closed the door after she came in. We sat on the couch.

"Can I get you something? Tea?"

"Tea please. Is your mother here?"

"Yeah, did you want to talk to her?"

"Yes, this is something I have to say to both of you."

"Mum! Someone wants to speak to you!" I hollered. I heard footsteps coming down the stairs.

"Ella how many times do I have to tell you not to holler in the hou-" she cut her sentence when she saw Mrs. Tomlinson.

"Hello Talia," she said nervously.

"Johanna. Ella Anne Harmon, why is this woman in my house?"

"She said she wanted to speak with us," I said pouring three cups of tea. I brought the tea tray into the sitting room. I sat on the couch next my mum across from Johanna.

"Out with it then Johanna," my mum snapped.

"I just wanted to say I'm sorry. I'm sorry for the way I acted when you two met in Kindergarten, and I'm sorry for the way I've acted lately." I could still see the tears in Louis' eyes when we were 5. I cringed at the memory. "I know that you've approved of the relationship between them Paula, and I've known they got really close, but that was my first encounter with their real love relationship. I guess you could say I overreacted on a number of levels. And I'm sorry."

"Look Johanna, if this is some sort of trick then you can jus-"

"No, it's not, I really am sorry!"

"I'm not buying it, get out of my house." My mum walked back upstairs leaving me with a flustered Johanna.

"I'm so sorry about that Johanna, she's jus-"

"No. She's right. All these years, and I choose now to apologize. I came because Mark left me last night. Mark left me because I kicked Louis out, and that was a slap in the face that told me how ridiculous I've acted these past years. I'm going home. Thank you for the tea." She got up and went toward the door.

"Johanna, I believe you." She turned and looked at me before smiling and leaving the house. She peaked back in and said one last thing.

"If you see my son, please tell him to come home. Thank you Ella."
