As the sun began to set over the picturesque village of Sundargram, the temple was bathed in a warm, golden glow.
Inside, the air was thick with anticipation as the village elders prepared for a ritual involving the young girl. The atmosphere was both solemn and eerie.
Just as the elders were about to proceed, a voice, strong and commanding, echoed through the temple.
"Stop!" Sarah's voice rang out, causing everyone to freeze in their tracks. The elders turned to face her, their expressions a mix of surprise and defiance.
"You will not harm this innocent child," Sarah declared firmly, her voice carrying the weight of her conviction.
"Such practices have no place in our world, " she says.
A old man came forward and said in a strict voice.
"Listen you bart, you are an outsider don't get involve in our village tradition it's been happening for ages, after 10 years today is an auspicious day to give away this child to god,"
His words brought disgust on Sarah's face how can they even think to harm a little child?
"Are people even human? Did the god ask to it? How can you even think like that?, " Sarah asked making the elders shut their mouth.
" Listen kid we know what the God wants now shut your mouth and get out from here you came here to meet you grandparents then be like that don't interfere in our matters, " another elderly man said.
" my god, really? You know what the God want? Then tell what he wants? Does he want to take this innocent child back to him after creating her? Now stop with your nonsense if I see any of this happening again then believe you all people will be locked up, "
Sarah took the child in her arms and gave to the little girl's parents who are in a crying mess.
Sarah a 26 years old woman who is now working as a doctor in Mumbai her parents are very wealthy and they are doctors too they owns tons of hospital in their name.
They are very kind hearted and helpful natured.
Sarah has been stressing on herself so her parents decided to send her to her grandparents home for few days to take rest.
It's been just one day that she came to her grandparents village, grandparents also very wealthy and respected in the village.
when she was helping her grandmother in the kitchen the parents of the five year old came to their house and asked the help of grandparents.
When Sarah heard About it she decided to help, she stopped them and went there.
"You should have not gone there dear those people are dangerous," grandfather said as he saw Sarah coming into the house.
"What do you mean grandpa? They were literally gonna kill that child and also what are the police in this village are doing won't they stop all this nonsense?, "Sara asked she was very confused as to why the child's parents came to her grandparents instead of going to the police station.
" You won't understand anything even the police are afraid of them, it's not in our hands it is just the way of their thinking, try not to get involved with them especially the head of this village, " her grandfather said trying his best to make her understand.

Inside the village head's house, Rajalakshmi, the mother of the village head, is a very cunning and traditional person.
She doesn't like it when women raise their voices or try to surpass their husbands. According to her, women should work in the kitchen, take care of household chores, and behave like proper cultured wives.
