The story starts with a historical background where kings and queens still rule. By a beautiful lake, a lovely couple is spending time together.

Anu, a beautiful woman, asks, "What will you do if your parents don't accept our love?"

"Then let's run away," Avinesh replies, smiling. Anu pushes him playfully and gets up.

"Don't speak nonsense, Avinesh. You are the future of the kingdom. You are soon to be king. You shouldn't run away from your responsibility," she says, pouting.

He chuckles and pinches her nose, making her glare at him. "Fine, my dear beautiful princess. I will not leave any of my responsibilities, and when I say responsibility, it always includes you," he says, making her eyes soften at his words.

"Anu... it's already late. People will start searching for you. Go now," he says. But Anu suddenly hugs him and says, "Stay safe."

Avinesh is going to another kingdom to solve an issue and won't be here for a few days.

"I don't know why, but I don't feel well. I feel like something bad is going to happen," she says, worry evident in her voice.

He kisses her forehead and then her nose. "No matter what happens, it will always be us, together," he reassures her.

Anu belongs to Chandrapur. She was the only member of her family to survive after the war.

At the age of five, she was taken to Avinesh's kingdom, Aryavarta. Avinesh's father currently rules Chandrapur, which was devastated by the war. Anu was one of the few survivors, and she was brought to Aryavarta.

Since then, she has lived in the palace. Until the age of 12, she was given small tasks, but after that, Anu started designing clothes and now exclusively designs for the royal family. Growing up in the palace, she met Avinesh, the prince and future king of Aryavarta.

They were first friends, and their bond gradually turned into love. They are inseparable and love each other so much that they can't imagine life without each other.

Avinesh's family, the king and queen, would not be happy to hear about their love, so they have been secretly meeting and spending as much time together as they could.

One evening, Anu was sneaking back into the palace, walking towards her room. After making sure no one saw her, she breathed a sigh of relief, but that turned into a gasp as she saw the queen sitting in her room with some guards.

Five days later, Avinesh returned, having finished his work earlier than expected. He was eager to see Anu and shower her with kisses. But she was nowhere to be found.

"Where did she disappear to?" he wondered. He stopped a maid and asked about Anu.

"I don't know, Prince," she said, but there was fear in her voice. Suspicious, he pressed her for the truth.

"I'm sorry, Prince. The Queen told us to keep our mouths shut. She found out about you and Anu and took her somewhere with the guards," the maid confessed.

Without announcing his arrival, Avinesh stormed into his mother's room, shocking her.

"Avinesh, aren't you supposed to come back day after tomorrow?" she stuttered.

"Where is she?" he demanded.

"Who?"

"You know exactly whom I'm asking about."

"Look, Avinesh, she is not the one for you. Your father and I have arranged your marriage to someone more suitable..."

He was in a rage. "Fine, don't tell me where she is. I know how to find her," he said, storming out of his mother's room.

"Tell the guards to finish her," Avinesh's mother commanded a maid.

After beating the information out of the general, Avinesh learned Anu's whereabouts. He took his horse and rode furiously to the location. He saw smoke rising from a small hut, which soon started to burn.

Panicking, he rushed towards it and found his love lying on the ground, blood flowing from her wounds. And also dried wonds like someone has been torturing her.

She was barely breathing, her eyes closed. Screaming her name, he was about to enter the burning hut when a few guards threw him back.

They tackled him, preventing him from reaching her. He struggled with all his strength, but couldn't break free. Soon, his mother and father arrived.

"You and she don't belong together. I knew you wouldn't listen to us about her, so you left us no choice," his father said coldly.

"It's not her fault," Avinesh pleaded, still trying to escape their grip.

"We don't care about that, Avinesh. You have become weak because of her. The only way to make you stronger is to kill your love," his father declared, making Avinesh turn red with rage, tears streaming down his face.

"Anuuuuuuuuuu!" he shouted, again and again, trying to wake her up.

Suddenly, she gasped and slowly opened her eyes. She could barely move her body but turned towards Avinesh, seeing him shouting her name. Her awakening gave him renewed strength.

Screaming her name, he pushed away the guards with a single burst of strength, took up a sword, and killed all ten guards with single slices. Now, only he, Anu, and his parents remain.

He turned the sword towards his parents but then dropped it and ran inside the hut to save Anu.

"Avinesh," his parents shouted.

The hut was almost entirely burnt down. He reached Anu and tried to pick her up, but she stopped him.

"I can't survive anymore, Avi. Please leave and save yourself," she whispered.

"Shut up, you don't know anything," he said, desperate.

He looked around, but all the exits were blocked. There was no way out.

"You should have at least saved yourself," Anu whispered.

"And live without you? Do you know how horrible that would be?" he replied.

"Remember the promise I made? That we would always be together?" he said, cupping her cheeks and showering her with kisses. "See? Even death can't separate us."

The hut burned down completely, turning them both into ashes.

Gasping for air, Anu woke up, sweating a lot. Looking around at her familiar surroundings, she finally breathed normally after seeing the calendar beside her.

July 9, 2024.

"Again the same dream," she murmured, taking her phone from the side table and seeing the wallpaper.

"Good morning, Avi," she said, blushing.

"I dreamed about us again, the same old dream where we both die in the fire," she pouted as she continued to talk to the person in the wallpaper.

"That Avi in the dream was so romantic, and here you are, a total anti-romantic," she said dramatically.

"Just wait till I make you mine," she said, pressing a quick peck to her phone, which had her love's photo on it.
