"you were just a bet,"

as soon as the word escaped from his mouth the girl felt heart broken it to millions of pieces. Who would have thought that her 8 month boyfriend would date her for a bet?

She wasn't the one who confessed first it was him, he was the first one to make her heart beat faster than usual, he was the first one to make her stomach fill with butterflies.

"What do you mean?," The girl shuttered badly while asking. All she wanted to hear is 'no I was just joking ' or 'it's a prank my melody'

Melody... The nickname he gave her. He always says that her voice is so melody. That's why he gave her this name.

"Boy's someone tell her that it was a bet and won it," the boy said with an emotionless face.

"It was true, we made bet on you and my bestfriend won it, so now please back off we have a lot of work to do," said one of his friend.

The boy she loves and his friends was about to go but she caught his hand and asked.

"Did I really mean nothing to you?,"

The pain in her voice was untreatable just like her heart which broken.

"Not even a millisecond," he said and jerked his hands off her and walked away from there leaving her with the crowd of students.

"Man, I thought he changed but nah,"

"He looked at her like she was his love of the life everytime I see them. Damn he should get an Oscar,"

"Once a playboy is always a Playboy,"

" Another new student fell into his trap poor her, "

"It was the longest relationship he had, the other girls he dated lasted only for one week but this time he took to end this ship after 8 months woah that's a good progress,"

The comments which are said by her school mates were like arrows to her heart. She knew he was a Playboy. But still she gave him a chance and everything was going good...

She turned around and ran towards the outside.

Rooh, how can you fall for his trap? She asked herself before running away from there, away from college away from him...

Rooh ran out of the college, ignoring her driver who was waiting outside. She ran and ran, her legs hurting, like she was trying to escape from a nightmare.

She couldn't believe what had just happened. Finally, she stopped and sat on the side of the road, crying silently as people stared at her in surprise.

Everyone had warned her, her friends, her parents, even Yash's friends. But Rooh didn't listen. Was she really that foolish?

Was she so blind in love?

She still couldn't believe the truth. She didn't want to accept it.

Yash Mehta was the bad boy, someone everyone said to stay away from. He was a boxer and known for being a player.

Rooh and Yash were very different; he loved excitement, while she was calm and shy. Yash was in his last year of MBA, and Rooh was just starting her first year in college.

Rooh knew he was a trouble when she first saw him and tried to keep her distance. Rooh was the daughter of rich parents, raised to be polite and elegant. She felt that Yash was someone she should avoid.

But one day, her best friend took her to watch a boxing match at school.

Yash was the champion.

As Yash fought in the ring, Rooh watched, tears filling her eyes because he seemed so mean to his opponent. But then Yash saw her, and something changed.

He stopped fighting, forgetting everything around him. When he realized he was losing, he quickly fought back and won the match.

After the match, Yash walked over to Rooh, smiled, and winked at her, tossing his towel her way. Rooh was shocked and felt her heart race.

Everyone around her was watching, and she stepped back, unsure of what to do.

But Yash was not the type to give up easily. From that day, he followed her around, trying to win her over.

Despite all the warnings, Rooh felt drawn to him. Even though Yash was known for dating different girls for just a week, he treated her well.

Rooh's parents found out about her relationship with Yash and told her not to fall in love with him because he was a poor boxer who earned money from bets.

But Rooh was already in love. Ignoring all the warnings, she fell for Yash.

They dated for eight months, happily together only to find out that she had been nothing more than a bet.

A car's horn brought Rooh back to reality. She turned around and saw her driver waiting for her. He was a 50-year-old man who treated her like a daughter.

He said, "Beta, let's go home."

Rooh didn't say anything, she just nodded and got into the backseat, sitting quietly and watching the city go by.

As soon as she entered her mansion, seeing her parents sitting in a sofa she felt heavy inside.

Tears started to flow down her cheeks, And She run towards your mother and her and cried her heart out

"You were right, Mom. I shouldn't have fallen in love with him. He played with my heart."

"I was just a bet to him. I should have listened to you," Rooh repeated these words, feeling upset. She was hiccuping and shaking as she cried.

Her parents tried to comfort her, but she was too sad to listen. Rooh cried and hugged her mother tightly. Both her mom and dad held her close, trying to make her feel better. Before long, she fell asleep from all the crying.

Her parents laid her down in her bedroom and quietly left the room. They sat on the sofa and talked.

"I never thought she would be this upset," her father said.

"Me neither," her mother replied. "I didn't realize she really loved him. She never listens, and now look at her."

"I can't stand seeing her like this," her mother said. "Did we do the right thing?"

Her father looked at her and said, "We only want what's best for our daughter. Yash is not good for her. It's better this way,"

" We didn't do anything wrong."
