Year: 2012 | Location: Starling City
It's been two years, and I was still treated the same by my peers at school. Each night I look outside in hopes that my father, Oliver Queen, would come back like he promised me the night I saw him. Moira married Walter Steele, and he became my step-grandfather. He stepped in and was there for me when my mother wasn't visiting from Central City. I'd always have a ride after school to go spend some time with Walter at Queen Consolidated just to do my homework in peace and away from any distractions at home.
After I was tucked into bed, Moira was called about my father's return. She went to Starling General to reunite with him and the doctor told her that "The Oliver they found, might not be the Oliver they lost." Moira would let him rest overnight and brought him home in the morning. I would've been awake eating breakfast in the dining hall with Raisa, our family maid, she would be making sure I had enough food to get me through the day. As the front door opens, I hear a familiar voice echoing the rooms, I knew who it was. I ran out of my seat and into my father's arms. "Daddy, you're back and you're alive!" I exclaimed. I kept my promise of keeping his secret that he was already alive so he knew I listened well, despite how hard it was to lie about it. Oliver hugs me back, giving a warm smile. "Yes I am kiddo and I am so sorry for breaking that promise I made years ago" his voice trembling like he did two years ago. He set me down and looked at me for a moment. "God you have grown so much." I smiled at him, giving him another hug. I was happy to finally have him in my life, my father, being there for me. After hugging for a few minutes he puts me back down so he can greet Aunt Thea, Raisa, Walter, and Tommy. I asked my father if he was hungry since I was having breakfast already. "Im good, why don't you finish eating then, you can go with Tommy and I out for the day." Tommy was a bit hesitant with bringing a literal child with them on their day out together but Oliver insisted that I come with since it'll be the first thing we can do after reconnecting as Father and Daughter.
As Tommy, My father and I were out, we stopped by CNRI, which was the law firm in the glades, so my father could talk to Laurel Lance, his ex-girlfriend and one of his best friends. After that we went down the street into a warehouse area then we all got hit with a tranq dart, knocking us out. We were zip cuffed to chairs, men in red masks walked in after Oliver and I woke up from the tranq dart. The men in red devil masks had tortured him about information about my grandfather, Robert Queen. He only glared at them and somehow escaped out of the zip cuffs then started to attack the men in devil masks, they ran off out of my sight leaving me and Tommy alone. I kept fidgeting in my chair trying to figure out how, I, a ten year old child, could figure out how to get free. Well, once my dad came back after snapping the last guys back, killing them, he got me free from the zip tie and eventually got to freeing Tommy right as SCPD had arrived at our location. We were taken back to the mansion for questioning of what had happened and Oliver had told Detective Lance "A man in a green hood, came in and stopped the kidnappers". Detective Lance and the sketch artist had got up and left after asking their questions. Moments later, Oliver pulls me aside and says "From now on, you will stay by my side, except for any parties thrown for me, but other than that, I need to keep you close and safe." I looked at him with a look of confusion on my face and he softly smiled "Tomorrow you will start your understand what I mean". He spent the rest of the day hearing about how I was in the last five years as I didn't have the chance to when I saw him two years ago. He was quite angry with how I was treated at school but after tucking me into bed, Oliver had gone to Moira and asked that I be enrolled in a online advanced academy and she had obliged to his request. The next morning, Oliver and I were about to head out when Moria introduced us to our new bodyguard, John Diggle. Oliver argued how we didn't need one but Moira said that this idea what she needed. He dropped the conversation and we got into the car to head into the town. After Oliver distracted diggle with a slight conversation topic, he whispered to me "Hold onto me as we will jump out of the car, got it?" I nodded, trusting him that I would be safe. I would hold onto him as he opened the door and jumps out with me covered and protected. Oliver would then take the both of us to the glades to the factory where the family company used to work out of. Oliver looks at me and knelt down. "Chrissy, I came back with one goal and that is to save this city by taking out the people on this list" he pulled out a brown leather notebook with a list of names written on each page. "I will bring you here every night to keep you safe and somewhat close to me so I know that no one can hurt you." He added. I looked up at him and nodded. This had become the start of a long and dangerous journey.
