Compromise

Chapter 1

I do feel sleepy now. The one I'm waiting for is damn late! I am about to go to my room when I heard the door bell. I stood up and went for the door.

I'm just actually living alone in a condominium because of a sad reason... that is to be away from my family. I couldn't take the risk living with them when I know I'm a threat to their lives... but they don't know that. Oh yeah! I'm a vampire. And for some reason, I don't know how it happened.

I opened the door and gladly, it's the person I'm waiting for. I smirked as I looked at his pale face which is full of sweat. I can hear the thumping of his heart. He is nervous.

"S-she's here, Yamada~san," he said, hesitant as he showed me a girl. She is some inches smaller than me. I examined her whole presence. I smirked.

She stepped a bit nearer to me and bowed.

I grabbed her arm and kissed her on the lips. I didn't close my eyes. I want to see her facial expression. Her eyes are wide open. She's shocked. Then I drilled my tongue to her mouth and continued kissing her but she struggled and pushed me.

I grinned. Now, now, her eyes are full of fear. Well, I did that to see what kind of a girl she is. And I think she'll give me a thrill.

"You can leave her to me now. And as you've promised, you can never see her starting today." I stated.

Both of them were shocked. Looks like he didn't think that I'm serious. The girl looked at the man with questioning eyes and tears are playing on her lower eyelids.

"H-hai," the man nodded in hesitation.

"You may go now," I motioned my head to the doorway.

He looked at the girl one last time. Even though how much he wants to hug her, he didn't and just left.

"Father..." the girl muttered as she looked at her father walked away.

I pulled her inside as I closed the door.

"Do you mind telling me your name?" I asked.

"A-Ai. Kawashima Ai desu." She introduced herself, stuttering.

I stepped to lessen my distance from her. I brushed her hair away from her neck with my fingers and I leaned onto her... and bit her on her neck.

"Itai!" (it hurts) she screamed.

But that didn't stop me. I continued and sucked her blood. It's been a long time since the last time I drank blood of a human, like a year ago. Well, it was always been from a blood bag...

I could hear her moaning. "P-please stop..." she moaned. She clutched on to my shoulders tightly. "S-stop..." she muttered again but now with a weak voice.

I think that's enough. I stopped sucking her blood and looked at her. She also looked at me. Her eyes were locked on my lips full of her dripping blood, her eyes gone wide. She looked at her chest as she traced the fluid by her finger from there until her neck. Then she looked at her finger.

"B-blood..." she muttered. "You're a—," she looked at me.

"Yup," I said as I wiped the blood on my lips and jaw. "I'm a vampire." I continued.

I heard her swallowed. I leaned to her but she stepped back.

"You're afraid of me now?" I raised an eyebrow.

"B-but... that can't be..." she stuttered.

"Why? Because I'm Yamada Ryosuke? The Yamada Ryosuke of Hey! Say! JUMP? And you are also wondering if the other JUMP members are vampires?" I asked as if voicing out what's in her mind. She's just staring at me. "Well, they are not. I'm the only vampire among them and they know what I am," I stated.

"H-how?" she mumbled.

"What how? How did I become like this? Well, I don't know." I shrugged. "Oh yeah, before I forgot. What did your father tell you about this?"

"H-he said that I'll be a stay-in maid of his friend..." she looked down.

I smirked. What a silly man! He didn't even tell the true reason to his daughter.

"You should know that you are here to be my blood supply." I informed. She looked up at me again, wide eyed. "And my personal assisstant. Wherever I go, you must be there also. I can't tell when I'll be thirsty again." I added.

She swallowed, like she couldn't believe what she's hearing right now.

"And another thing, just like what you heard a while ago, you'll be mine now and you can never see your father from now on. Is that clear?" I asked.

She just stared at me. Again, tears playing on her lower eyelid.

"Is that clear?" I asked again.

"H-hai," she answered, just like a whisper.

"Good." I said. "And no one should know what is your real work and what I am. Got it?"

She nodded but hesitant at first.

"From now on, eat healthy food if you want to prolong your life. You can rest now," I said and left her there. I went to my room.
