Chapter 17

Ai's POV

I went straight to the condo. I also have a spare key. I went in and went straight to my room. I packed all my things. Everything...

If you'll ask me if what I'm feeling right now? The answer is I don't know... I don't know what to feel. My emotions are mixed up and I don't know which one is dominant. One thing is for sure... I feel numb...

After I packed my things, I went out that room which was used to be mine for 4 months or so... At the sala, he's there, standing while staring at me with questioning painful eyes. I don't even understand why he should be in pain...

"You'll really leave?" he asked as if a whisper.

"Yes," I replied.

"What do you want me to do to change your mind? Do you want me to stab myself again and again?" he asked.

I don't know if he's being sarcastic...

"Even if you kill yourself right now, it will not change my mind," I answered.

"Do you really hate me now?" he asked.

"I d-don't know..." I looked down.

There came a minute of silence...

I started to walk towards the door.

"Wait!" he exclaimed as he grabbed my arm.

I looked at him.

"Take this," he put his left hand in his jeans' pocket and got something from there--it's the cellphone which Chinen~kun gave me. He's giving it back to me. "I know, the other members will miss you. And for sure you'll miss them also. You can still contact them. Just like you used to do," he said. He smiled.

I get it. "Hai," I nodded.

"I have a last favor... if it's ok with you," he said.

"What?" I asked.

"Can I hug you?" he asked.

I stopped for a moment. I don't know what to answer... But my head voluntarily nodded.

He advanced himself to me and hugged me. "I will miss you. I think you won't believe this but my heart beat again because of you. I thought I'm already dead but I'm wrong. I'm still alive just that I'm a human with an abnormal condition. Thank you," he whispered to me then he released me.

My heart beat fast... I turned my back to him. "Sayonara," I muttered. I started walking toward the door. I didn't look back. I just went straight out and left.

I waited for a taxi cab outside the building of his condo. Not a long wait and a taxi cab came. I entered. The driver started the engine and moved. I looked outside the window and took a final glance on the building.

"Where are we going, ma'am?" the driver asked.

"Huh?" I asked, startled.

Now that was asked. .. where am I going? I don't have a home to go to... A warm home that could embrace me and make me feel loved...

"Ma'am?" the driver called.

"Uh... Take me to Tennin Cemetery," I said.

"Ok, ma'am," he replied.

I stared at the window. I could see my reflection through it. The sky became dark as if it'll rain. My tears ran down my face again...

After about half an hour, the taxi stopped.

"We're here, ma'am," he said.

I paid then I went down. I walked in the cemetery. I went straight to the tomb of my father. I already went here when I knew he died.

When I'm infront of his tomb stone, I just stood there and stared at it.

I feel empty... Why should all these things happen? What did I do to deserve this?

"Father..." I whispered. "I want to be with you... Please take me with you. Please..." I begged.

Suddenly, the thunder clapped. I was shaken a bit. Then I felt a droplet of water in my arm. I looked up. It's raining.

What does this mean? Are you disaggreeing with me, father? Don't you want me to be with you?

I closed my eyes and I saw the image of my father. He has that worried face. He seems sad... I inhaled then opened my eyes.

"I know... you want me to live, right? For you, I will," I whispered. "Thank you. I'll leave now. I'll be back tomorrow," I added.

I started walking away. And as I left, I decided to live a new life, to continue my life. I know that's what my father wants for me.
