Compromise

Chapter 16

Ryosuke's POV

I told Ai about the phone call from my manager. We immediately went to the jimusho. As we walk to the office of Johnny~san, I saw my co-members waiting outside the office.

"I heard that Johnny~san wants to talk to the two of you," Yabu~kun greeted us with that statement.

"Yes," I answered. "But don't worry, everything will be fine," I said and we continued walking to the office.

I knocked at the door when we're in front of the office. The door opened. It's manager who opened the door.

"Come in," it's Johnny~san's voice.

We came in at the same time manager went out and he closed the door.

Johnny~san stood up and bowed before us. We did the same.

"Have a seat," he said as he gestured at the two opposite chairs in front of his table.

Ai and I sat. I'm at the right side of Johnny~san while she's at the left.

"I heard that she's your P.A.?" he started.

"Hai," I answered.

"Your name, miss?" he asked.

"I'm Kawashima Ai, sir," she answered.

"Hmm," he nodded. "I want you to look at these photos," he pushed a brown envelope towards me.

I looked at him and then the envelope. I got it and opened it. I got the photos inside it. My eyes gone wide while looking at the photos. It's me and Ai together. The other photo was taken as we were going in the buildng of my condo. I became weak while looking at these photos. After I viewed them all, I put them back inside the envelope.

"Is she staying with you in your condo?" he asked.

"Yes," I answered. I lowered my head.

"And she's just really your P.A.?" he ensured.

"Yes," I replied.

"I want you to fire her now," he said seriously.

I looked at him, wide eyed.

"I- I can't do that," I contradicted.

"You must do that," he said with authority but calm.

"No, I won't!" I insisted.

"Why?" he asked.

"I- I'm a vampire," I said, I looked at him in the eye

"Vampire?" he echoed, he scowled.

"Yes. The truth is, I hired her as my blood supplier. That's why she's staying with me," I explained.

"When did you hire her?" he asked.

"About 4 months ago," I said.

"And when did you bcome a vampire?" he asked, suspiscious.

"5 yrs ago. I don't know how I became a vampire. Just one day, I woke up and I'm like this already," I said.

"What a good story," he said. Looks like he doesn't believe me. He's mocking at what I said.

"I'm telling the truth, Johnny~san! I'll prove it to you!" I exclaimed. I looked at Ai meaningfully.

She evaded my eyes but then she nodded.

I advanced myself toward her. I held her head and tilted it a bit. Just right to reveal her neck. I leaned to her neck and bit her. She moaned because of pain. I had a taste of her blood but I didn't suck it. I did that just to show him that I'm telling the truth. After that, I went back to my seat. Her blood is dripping from her neck. She covered it with her handkerchief.

"Gomen," I muttered to her. I wiped the blood on my mouth.

I looked at him and he seems so shocked.

"Ok..." he muttered. "You said that you hired her just 4 months ago. How did you live before you had her?" he wondered.

"Sometimes I buy blood bag from different hospitals... then, sometimes I feed on animals' blood..." I explained.

"Sou ka?" he muttered. "But you still need to fire her."

"I can't and I don't want to!" I persisted.

"Ok, here's the thing. A reporter from a showbiz magazine showed these to me," he tapped the brown envelope. "He made a deal with me. He wants me to give him ¥10M and he'll zip his mouth. If you'll not gonna do what I want you to do then I don't have a choice but to terminate you," he explained.

I felt nervous. It's like my heart is torn apart.

"A- Ai's father already died and it's my fault. I can't just fire her. She has no one to go to. That's why I'm begging you, Johnny~san, don't do this," I begged, tears playing on my lower eyelids.

"It will be unfair to the other talents if I'll just let you. Rule is a rule. I want to keep you in my agency that's why I'm giving away my money just to save you. Here's the deal... I'll supply your blood and I'll fund her living. I think that's enough now," he said.

"Just terminate me," I said. I made up my mind. I don't want to lose her. I want her just to be by my side. I'm used to be with her now. And if she'll be gone, my life won't be the same anymore. I want to start a new life with her.

"I understand," she spoke.

"Huh?" I asked. My brows furrowed.

"I don't want to see him anymore. I agree with the deal," she said.

"What?" I asked in disbelief.

"Ok then. That's settled. Thank you for your cooperation, Kawashima~san," he said with a smile.

She stood up and bowed before him. She left.

I also stood up and followed her.

My co-members are there, waiting for us with worried face.

"What happened?" Hikaru~kun asked.

"Minna, thank you. I'll leave now," she said, bowing to them.

"No! I didn't agree on anything! You won't leave! If it takes for me to be terminated for you not to leave, then I will!" I told her.

"Will you please stop being selfish! Please think of other people too! Many people wants to see you... They want to see you dance, sing and act! They want to see you smile! Many people are looking up to you! If you'll be terminated, what will happen to HSJ? If you'll be terminated... how can your family see you? Your family also miss you and the only way they can see you is on tv. And I don't want to see you anymore! Why didn't you inform Johnny~san about your condition earlier?! If you did, then my father might be still here..." tears ran down her face. "I'll leave now," she said and left.

"Ai... " I muttered as I looked at her walking away...

My heart is breaking... but if this will make her happy... then it's ok for me...
