The AC was put on a temperature unlike the degrees Jay would set it to, the room was tense with frigid air chilling everything in Jay's room. He sat up stiffly, all attempts to get rest discarded for the time being, it was too cold to sleep with this temperature.

He flung the blanket from his body, stepping down from the bed and onto the wooden tiles, chilly from the air conditioning. Jay turned to his phone, checking the time to see how far into the night it had gotten. The digital clock read 11:30 in big blocky letters across his lit screen, Jay softly exhaled through his mouth before he left his room to get a bottle of water to clear the bleariness from his mind.

The feeling outside of his room was blatantly colder than the inside, a rush of icy air against his freezing skin when the door swung open, and wind rushed in like prey fleeing from the predator. He stalked towards the thermometer, urgent to turn the temperature up where it wasn't disturbing his level of comfort.

It was located at the corner near the other hall, just a bit before Jungwon's room further down. He gawked at the Celsius as it detected the chill in the room as 17 degrees. He could only perceive it as Jungwon being the one who changed it for whatever reason there was because Jay didn't change it.

He sighed into the air, almost feeling that there would be a small white puff where his lips parted, then pressed the button until it raised to 22 degrees inside. He faced around to head back to his room (completely forgetting about getting a glass of water), but the door to Jungwon's room cracked slightly ajar caught his attention.

Jay was awake for an understandable reason (he wanted to go to sleep but couldn't because it was too cold), but why was Jungwon still awake (assuming because his door was still open)?

He didn't make a move to get any closer when the door opened further without him, the ruby red of Jungwon's hair was revealed as it open then Jungwon's eyes eventually found Jay's.

"Why are you awake?" Jay asked before he thought about his words, he regretted it a second after, but it was too late to pretend like he didn't say anything.

Jungwon sauntered out of his room, taking slow yet steady steps down the hall and Jay could feel the tension in his throat because he didn't know what Jungwon was going to do. But he slipped right past him and entered the kitchen without saying anything to him.

Jay wasn't quite sure if his silence was better or worse than one of his usual witty comments.

Oh god, and he had to go to the kitchen as well.

Jay stared; his eyes locked on the younger boy as he opened a cabinet then met Jay's gaze again. Then that was when had he said something, "Why are you staring at me? Did you also not learn not to do that? Did you skip that lesson as well as human decency?"

Jay's neck grew hot in anger, his nails piercing into the dampening skin of his palms. He couldn't be more upset with himself that Jungwon could get to him with such simple remarks, it was aggravating.

"I don't get why you're so rude. You threw my kindness away just like that," Jay scoffed, putting his hand on top of his head. He decided to bite the bullet and make his way to the kitchen as well, after all, it wasn't like he was going there because Jungwon did.

"Do you have anything that does not need to be cooked?" Jungwon inquired, swerving around Jay's statement again. Whatever he was majoring in, he was definitely going to graduate with a PhD in ignoring Jay.
