"He spoke about you," Sunghoon said.
Jay looked at him curiously, slightly craning his neck to Sunghoon's side to hear him better. "Who's he?"
His gaze flitted, jumping from Sunoo, to Jake, to Riki before eventually falling on Jay. The sun treated him well, gently glazing over his features. He responded, "Jungwon. I met up with him this afternoon, to study, of course."
Jay frowned. "Was it good or bad?"
Sunghoon only chuckled when he shrugged his shoulders, leaving the answer to be open-ended.
"Wait--did you mention me, or did he?"
For some reason, his heart was beating uneasily. Despite his curiosity, Jay wasn't sure if he really wanted to know. Though yesterday didn't end bad because Jungwon accepted the proposal, Jay was sure that somewhere throughout that afternoon--or evening--he had crossed the line.
"Do you want to know that or what he told me?"
"What are you guys talking about?" Riki grumbled like a child. He reared his head out of Sunoo's lap and looked over at them. Sunoo and Jake would then follow, eventually glancing at Sunghoon and Jay too.
"Why are you in our business?" Sunghoon retorted.
Riki immediately leaned up but Sunoo's hand found his shoulder and pressed him back down. These two always bickered like their lives depended on it.
"You two are like kids, especially you, Riki," Sunoo said.
"Whatever...just let me lay back here," Riki murmured, positioning his head comfortably in Sunoo's lap again. The older boy chuckled but only slightly, and had continued combing through Riki's hair with his hand as he had done prior.
"Guys you know that if you are dating, it's not like we don't support you," Jake said.
Sunoo rolled his eyes. "Well we aren't. We've told you guys this many many times before."
"Sure," Sunghoon muttered.
Riki eventually sat up. "When we do, you guys will be the first to know." He grinned proudly. "Until then, I'm going to the living room to get on the game," he chimed, pushing himself off of the bed and leaving everyone else behind.
Though, Jake--the one who normally played with him--and Sunghoon--the spectator--joined them as well. Sunoo sighed. "What do I do with him," he said softly.
He then turned to Jay, and what Jay had expected him to ask was exactly what he did. "So did you talk to him?"
Jay groaned. He did talk to him, and in fact it kind of--just barely--went well, but for some reason telling that to Sunoo presented itself as a daunting task. "I did," he answered.
Sunoo angled his head to the side and glared at him, which was, in its own way, terrifying. "Elaborate."
"Do I have to tell you everything?"
"No. I just want to make sure that you aren't doing anything stupid," Sunoo told him.
"Well it went well, so you don't have to worry. I know what I'm doing so from now on, I got this."
Sunoo narrowed his eyes, as if to verify Jay's words before he trusted them. He then grinned just slightly and nodded. "Okay, sure. It doesn't involve me so I won't ask too much, but hopefully you know how to play your cards right. I'll leave it at that." He stretched his arms out before getting down from the bed. "I'll go watch them play. If you don't want to wallow in your thoughts you can join us as well."
