VEGAS

In the realm of shadows, he now resides,

No longer plagued by thoughts of escape, no longer confined.

His heart, once tangled in confusion's snare,

Now finds solace in a community that truly cares.

But as he finds his freedom, I remain,

In the place he left, where memories sustain.

Like a priceless painting, they adorn the walls,

Reminders of a past that still enthralls.

His suffering gave me a chance to find life,

But his liberation feels like my own strife.

For in his newfound light, I cannot dwell,

Our paths diverge, a bittersweet farewell.

Yet, in the depths of darkness, I'll stay,

Where moments live on, where memories don't fray.

Though we can't be together, fate's decree,

Our connection lingers, a bond that's set free.

So, as he walks his chosen path, I'll remain,

Embracing the shadows, where I find my domain.

For in this duality, we find our own way,

Two souls intertwined, even in separate display.

PETE

He told me it'd be better if I ended his life,

Vegas said he'd choose death if it were by my knife.

Little did he know, despite the pain he caused,

I never wished for him to vanish, to be lost.

He's the agony I willingly chose to bear,

A suffering I embraced, a burden I share.

Vegas is a world, unexpectedly beautiful and dark,

A tumultuous love that ignites a different spark.

He's the reason I keep on living, it's true,

But sometimes, his presence becomes too much to pursue.

His love wasn't what I initially sought,

Yet it turns out, it's the love I truly needed, I thought.

If his aim was to make me unable to live without him,

He succeeded, his touch leaving my world dim.

Falling for him is both chaos and serene,

But our love isn't one that can easily be redeemed.

It's not a love fixed with a simple apology,

Loving him brings pain, a constant agony.

Yet I find myself holding on, enduring the strife,

For the love we share, in its own twisted life.
