Chapter five: Chess game

Winning with my Father in chess? Is impossible.

I always thought, Why someone can't defeat my father in chess? After a lot of time, I understood. He was always unfair because he was terrified of losing. He didn't want to win but he wanted to never lose either.

Playing unfair is for losers.

And My father is a loser.

A terrified loser.

I was not much surprised when I got to know my father wanted Vegas's birthright, His father's legacy. Honestly, I don't care about that.

My father using me to sign those documents from Vegas. It was not startling much either. Because those inheritance documents can be signed by Vegas from me only.

Father used Porchay and threatened to kill him if I didn't get those documents signed by Vegas. This startled me.

I'm aware of stalkers who work for him and who track me everywhere.

Though, I know I made an effort to escape them When I was with Porchay. Nonetheless, I guess I miserably failed in that.

I exhaled deeply as I watched Pete who took some documents from Chan which he was carrying saying he was going to Kinn's office. Then, he quickly goes into the storage chamber and flips and checks them carefully hoping to find something useful.

Lovesick boy.

I saw listening him to us. When I and father were arguing. I also saw him going to the second family. Surely, to tell Vegas what he listened to.

Traitor

Well, Being loyal to robbers is much better than being loyal to my father. A cheater person like him doesn't deserve this much loyalty from others.

I leaned my back on the wall, lit the cigarette that was between my lips, pressed the end to my lips, and exhaled. Only two things can help me calm down in this type of situation first, Cigarettes second, Killing someone.

When I saw Pete getting out of the storeroom. I followed him, he entered Kinn's office, and after exactly five minutes he came out and went towards my father's office and roamed outside trying to listen and peek inside the office.

Does he want to die or something?

He will easily get caught like that.

When he ran from Vegas, I knew that he would return to him in not much time. These things are just an excuse for him to return to Vegas.

He is trying very hard for Vegas to find what documents Korn wants me to get signed by Vegas and which can get signed by Vegas from me only.

There are many possibilities as to why those inheritance documents can get signed by Vegas from me only. However, the main reason is fooling or trading Vegas is not an easy deal. My father fooled Khun Kan for years.

However, Vegas, he's like a venomous snake concealed in a luxurious silk suit. His manipulative tactics surpass even those of my father, and he doesn't hesitate to snuff out lives like flickering candles. Crossing him is not just risky—it's a matter of life and death. Betrayal? Well, that's a one-way ticket to a fate far worse than you can imagine.

"Khun Kim, You are here?" Out of nowhere, Chan greeted me from behind! I turned around and answered him in my normal voice laced with coldness.

"Where is Pa?"

"Oh, He is in an important meeting, I'm sorry. You have to wait" He answered.

In that split second, I lost sight of Pete.

Did he vanish into thin air?

Where the fuck he went?
