Third Person POV (Y/n)

Y/n was relieved when she reached her home without being seen by another bean, but that didn't change the fact that Tavish had seen her. She knew the rules (and so do I) and that she couldn't stay after being seen, but where would she go?

Recalling the conversation with the bean, she remembered him mentioning a camp, but traveling outside was dangerous for a borrower.

Then there was Tavish's offer of staying here at the keep. He had treated Y/n rather kindly considering that he had caught her eating the keep's food. Although he had grabbed her, he was still gentle with the tiny borrower. The bean had promised her that she would be protected, but how would the other humans react if they found out that she had be eating their food?

As Y/n kept on trying to figure out what to do, an unusual thought popped into her head.

What if you gave them a chance?

It sounded like a crazy idea, but maybe she could see if the the other humans beans would be willing to help her as Tavish had claimed. After thinking about it for awhile, you decided to spend the three days with the humans in the keep then make the decision.

Third Person POV (Tavish)

The Laird had been thinking about the borrower that he had seen earlier. How long had she been living in the keep? How was she able to survive for so long without being noticed by anyone? Was she aware of the conflict between him and Angus? He wished that he could have asked her more questions, but he didn't know where she was. Other people at Degroot Keep could tell that something was bothering Tavish, but the only one who asked about it was Jane.

"Is everything alright Tavish?" Jane asked.

Tavish didn't know how to respond. It was clear that the borrower didn't want anyone to know about her existence, but Jane was his closest friend.

"I-I'm fine." He lied.

After awhile, Tavish finally had some time to himself, at least until he heard a noise.

"Lass, is that you?" He asked softly.

"Y-yes." Y/n replied.

"Why are yeh here? I thought you needed to hide."

"I-I thought a bit about your suggestion and decided to stay here with you and the other human beans for three more days before I make my decision."

"Really?" Tavish couldn't believe his ears.

"Yes, I'm willing to try spending time with humans before I make my choice."

"Are you willing to meet them right now?"

"Now?!" Y/n yelped.

"Don't worry," Tavish reassured her. "I will make sure that you are safe."

"O-okay..."
