For the next two days you haven't seen the Lady once.

The tasks you were given for the past days always seemed to be in the complete opposite area where the Countess would be.

You had no idea if she was still mad at you, but you just assumed she was.

Now you were in the wine room cleaning with Ashley, you were polishing the wine bottles as she dusted.

"Hey, Y/n how have you been?" Ashley asked you.

You pick up a wine bottle and started polishing it.

Honestly you didn't want to voice your problems. "I'm fine." You said with a monotone voice.

Ashley looked at you with a raised eyebrow. "Are you sure?"

"Yeah... its nothing." You stated making obvious that you've been thinking.

"Whats nothing?" She asked you again.

You sighed and gave in knowing she wouldn't stop pricking and prodding about it.

"Something happened between me and the Lady a few days ago..." you said pausing your work and now looking at Ashley.

Ashley furrowed her eye brows in concern.

"Are you alright? Did she hurt you? What happened?" She bombarded you with questions.

"I'm fine, other from a sore chin she didn't hurt me." You took a deep breath in and told Ashley what happened.

"She was mad at you because she thought you were flirting with someone in front of her daughters??" She stated a bit taken aback.

"Yeah... but the thing was, when she was about to leave she gave me this look... as if she were upset or even sad.." you stated in thought again.

You sighed. "its probably nothing..."

"I mean, thats probably the reason she's been more snappy lately" Ashley shrugged.

"What do you mean?" You asked raising an eyebrow.

"You haven't noticed? There's been at least 10 maidens that have been sent to the cellars in the past day." Ashley stated.

"No... I think she's avoiding me... or something.." you finally picked up another wine bottle and started polishing again.

"Avoiding you?"

"Yeah, all of my tasks have been in  complete different areas than usual... I think she is telling Ingrid to make sure I'm far away from her..." you sighed again.

Ashley hugged you and the wine bottle you were holding slipped out of your hands and shattered on the floor, it was every where.

When it shattered Ashley backed up her face was twisted with terror and she was completely frozen in place.

You just looked at the shattered bottle like it was indifferent, you looked at Ashley and noticed how scared she was.

"Ashley." She looked at you quickly. "Leave the room i'll take care of this." You stated.

"B-but-!" She was silenced when you glared at her "F-fine..." she quickly left the room.

You bent down to the floor to pick up the pieces of shattered glass, you did so slowly and carefully.

Not much later loud heels clicked against the floor nearing you.

Suddenly the door swing open Lady Dimitrescu, Bent down and held onto her hat so it didn't fall, she put her other hand on the door frame and started to enter the room.

when she got through the door she stood tall, seeing the mess on the floor and she glared at you.

"You!" She seethed.

You stood up and threw the glass away in the trash and looked back up at the countess, but stayed silent.

"My patience for you is up! I think a couple of nights in the cellar will do you some good!" she bared her teeth at you.

The countess snatched your wrist and dragged you out of the the room.

You just allowed it to happen.

Soon she was dragging you down the stairs of the cellar and then she threw you into a cell.

Your back hit the wall and you winced in pain.

Thing is usually her daughters would be doing this kind of thing not the countess herself.

She entered and chained you up, you looked up at her to see her yellow eyes glowing.

"I don't want to hear you screaming." She seethed.

"I'm sure you won't find that a problem my lady." You stated coldly.

On of her large hand quickly made its way to your neck and she put a firm grip on it.

"I will not hesitate to kill you here and now." She said in a low tone.

You struggled to breath but made a comment none the less.

"..then- do it..." you breathed out and gave the countess a challenging look.

A low growl left her chest and she harshly pushed your head against the wall, you grimaced as a overwhelming headache came over you.

"I am done talking with you." She stood up and left the cell, locking it behind her.

A day passed of being in this place and you looked up hearing the sound of buzzing growing close.

Suddenly Bela appeared in front of you.

"Why has mother been so angry with you lately?" She asked raising an eyebrow at you.

You sighed starting to grow tired of telling the story but told it anyways.

"... you never flirted with anyone, though I'm not sure why she's upset with that..." Bela said in thought.

"Guess, that makes two of us..." you stated blankly.

"I like you maiden.. you don't think of us as monster's and you care for us... so I will tell mother what actually happened." She said then left in her cloud of bugs.

{Bela's POV}

Bela appeared in her mother's private chamber and saw her sitting at her desk.

"Mother.." Bela stated.

"Yes dear?" The countess looked up at her daughter.

"The maiden... Y/n-"

The Lady scoffed at the name. "please dear, don't get me started on her.."

"Mother.. she wasn't flirting infront of us.." Bela crossed her arms..

The woman's stare hardend. "Really now?"

"Yes mother.. she was trying to scare her... me and my sisters wanted a show.." Bela reasoned.

"I see..." the countess sighed and softened up. "She still broke a wine glass, leave her down in the cellar for another night.." she waved her hand dismissing her daughter.

"Of course mother." Bela said then buzzed off.
