While watching over the countess's daughters (more like being dragged around by them) they messed around with the other maidens.

That included scaring them and biting them to see if they were 'ripe' still.

"Come on! You try!!" Daniela stated pointing at a maiden nearby, to which was the one who had a problem with you earlier.

"Try what...? Biting her?" You asked a bit confused about the request.

"Of course, not dumbass." Cassandra seethed which soon formed into a toothy smile. "Go scare her."

"You want me to scare someone...?" You asked, a bit baffled.

"Just go do it!" Daniela pushed you towards the girl who still had her back turned towards you.

You sighed and made your way to the girl not making any real effort, soon you were right behind her and apparently, she still hadn't noticed you.

In this castle almost everyone is on edge all the time the exception being you.

You glanced back at the sisters to see them waiting excitedly in anticipation. They obviously want a show.

Fine. You looked towards the girl again and firmly gripped her shoulder, she froze completely you leaned in close to her ear.

You decided to impersonate the daughters, more specifically Cassandra.
You put on a fake smirk and took a deep breath from your nose making it seem as if you were smelling her.

The maid was literally shaking in fear.

You made your voice sound sadistic and bloodthirsty. "My my, you smell so sweet~ I might just drain you of all of your blood right now~"

"P-please don't hurt me! I-... I'll do anything!!" She begged.

The sisters started giggling sadistically as the girl begged for her life, hearing their laughs you felt as if that satisfied the sisters, so you dropped the act and let her shoulder go then backed up from her.

she realized this and nervously turned around to see if the coast was clear, when she saw you, annoyance was written all over her face and she seethed.

"What is wrong with you!?" she exclaimed.

your expression was blank again, showing no signs of emotions. "I don't understand what you mean..." you stated simply.

anger flashed in her eyes, and she pushed you to the ground. "You're an emotionless fuck!"

the girls giggled more becoming amused from this outcome, that did not go unnoticed by the other maid, she looked up at them and that anger that was there before was replaced by fear. she immediately ran out of the room.

the girls continued to giggle as she did so. soon the girls were surrounding you, Bela then helped you up smiling at you with a toothy grin.

"That was quite entertaining for a mortal." she chuckled.

After a couple more hours of watching the girls, Ingrid found you.

"Y/n." she stated making you aware of her presence.

You turned to face her "do you need something Ingrid?"

"The countess said you hadn't need to watch her daughters anymore." she stated looking at the three.

"Ugh! finally, she was such a bore-" Cassandra stated.

"Pfft! you're such a lair, you were totally enjoying her company!" Daniela lightly shoved her.

"I did not!" she seethed back at her.

"Do you two ever shut up!?" Bela bared her teeth at the two, and Cassandra rolled her eyes at Bela.

Ingrid held back a sigh and looked at you again. "Your dismissed." she said then left.

as the three kept arguing you left the room and headed to the library, as you had a once in a lifetime break. when you got there you looked for a book and found one quickly, you sat down in a chair and started reading.

suddenly you heard the doors open and looked up from the book to see the countess bending through the doors. as she stood up, she immediately noticed you and her eyes glowed staring down at you.

she was more imposing than usual, her stare was more of a glare, and it seemed like if you did a single thing wrong, she would rid of you immediately. your heart raced, weather if it was because of the idea of you dying, or just the countess being near you in general was the question.

This woman made you feel things, feel feelings... and you liked it. but you couldn't help but notice that something was wrong...could she be mad?

the lady finally broke eye contact with you and went to the bookshelf and grabbed a book.

you closed your book and stood up and faced Lady Dumitrescu. "My Lady...?" you raised an eyebrow confused about her strange behavior.

her eyes quickly snapped towards you, her glare becoming almost unbearable for you.

"I-Is something wrong?" and there it was... the first time you have ever tripped over your words.

"Yes, in fact there is." her words were cold yet sharp. "You dare flirt with another maiden in front of my daughters?" she bent down quickly to your height and harshly gripped your chin then let out a low growl.

your heart rate increased. whatever this feeling was it made you weak in the knees, you took a moment to calm yourself.

"My Lady... I think there's been a misunderstanding..." you stated in a soft tone, different from your usual monotone voice.

the countess took note of this change but did not react to it. "Are you questioning me?" she asked in a low dangerous tone, her grip on your chin tightening.

"No, I'm merely trying to state a fact." you said regaining that coldness in your tone again.

her eyes bored into you, her rage was overbearing and hidden beneath that was jealousy, though you didn't notice that part.

"You are a mere maiden! you have no room to speak to me in that way!" her voice grew loud as she spoke, to which made you silent.

The countess took a breath in trying to calm herself she then let your chin go and stood up, when she looked at you again the anger was gone, and you swore that she looked upset maybe even hurt.

but she looked away before you could figure out what that new feeling was. and you... well you felt guilty even though you know you didn't do anything wrong... you didn't understand it at all.

the countess left the room before you could say anything else leaving you in the room feeling a mix of shame and guilt for whatever reason.
