The Doll and the Woman

"EEEK!!"

When you recovered from the loud squeal you looked up to see a doll that seemed to be in bad condition jumping up and down.

The Doll then looked up at you "hey human!" Her voice was shrill and annoying. "We want to see Alcina!"

You looked at the open door to see a quiet woman with a veil on... Lady Beneviento you recognized quickly.

Out of the other three Lords Lady Dimitrescu seems to actually not hate Beneviento like the other two...

You looked back at the Doll "of course, follow me." You stated leading the way.

You made your way to the Grand Hall and grabbed the wrist of Velvet and dragged her with you.

"w-where are we going??? A-and is that Lady Beneviento??" She exclaimed quietly seeming scared.

"Yes it is... And I still have to watch you so you're coming with." You stated.

"H-huh?? B-but-"

"No room for argument." You stated continuing to lead the three to the living room, letting Velvets hand go.

"Lady Beneviento, you can sit if you'd like I'm going to go get Lady Dimitrescu." You said then faced Velvet "stay here and watch them." You said leaving before she could get a word in.

You knocked on Alcina's door and opened it, empty... You hummed in thought trying to figure out where she might be.

You headed to the library and opened the door seeing the countess grabbing some books.

"Alcina," you started she looked at you then smiled.

"Draga mea~" she purred putting the books down. "Did you need anything?"

"Lady Beneviento is waiting for you in the living room" you stated.

The countess hummed "well then let's go" she said taking ahold of your hand

"w-what are you doing??" You asked blushing.

She just flashed a smile in response and lead you to the living room. When you entered Velvet seemed surprised probably since you were hold hands with the countess.

You looked at the ground in embarrassment.

"OoO~ Alcina took a liking to you hasn't she???" The Doll giggled you wanted to stomp on that rat looking doll. "I'm Angie little human! Nice to meet ya!"

You glared at her before looking away the countess finally letting your hand go and sitting across from Donna.

"Hey! When some one introduces themselves to you your supposed to introduce yourself too!" She squeeled.

You rolled your eyes unresponsive.

"Alcinaaaaa!! Your human is rudeee!!" She whine.

Alcina huffed in annoyance "Donna... Can you please keep your doll calm."

"Hey I'm living just like you!" She yelled.

"Sit." Donna quietly mumbled to Angie. The Doll huffed and sat on the couch.

"Thank you, now what's the reason for you visit today?" Alcina asked crossing her legs.

You couldn't help but stare and bask in her beauty. The you remembered to get some wine and left the room Velvet followed after you.

"S-so what was with you and the countess..? Velvet asked.

"What do you mean?" You asked.

"You guys were holding hands..." She pointed out.

"U-uhm... Nooo.. you were seeing things.." you laughed nervously as you were being a gaslighting gatekeeping girlboss.

"Yes you were, I saw... Are you guys like a thing..?" She asked.

You opened the door to the wine room "oh look we're here-" you said trying to change the topic.

Velvet huffed but seemed to take the hint that you don't want to talk about it. "So what type of wine are we getting?" She asked.

You sighed glad she stopped praying "Sanguis Virginis"

"What's it taste like?" She hummed.

"The real question is why do you ask so many questions." You seethed in annoyance.

She went silent and started figeting and mumbled a soft "sorry.."

You huffed and grabbed the wine bottle and a 2 glasses before heading back to where Alcina was with Velvet.

You placed the glasses down on the table before pouring the wine into the glasses.

"Hey! I want some too!!" Angie whine.

"Your a doll... And your the size of a 8 month old baby" you side eyed the Doll.

Angie gasped offended, "do you let your humans talk like that to you!?!" Angie squeeled at the countess.

Alcina dismissively waved at Angie. "She's special.. and honestly I agree with her... A doll does not need wine." She was picking up her cigar and lighting it.

"Your so mean!" Angie said before getting up and running off.

"Just what I needed... Y/n dear, bring Angie back here, and you" she looked at Velvet "stay here."

Velvet nodded nervously and you left muttering to yourself in annoyance"why do I have to be the one looking for this ugly ass doll" you scoffed.

Suddenly you heard a shrill voice that most definitely belonged to Angie.

You walked into the hall and saw Ashley trying to kick Angie away "get away you possessed doll!!" She yelled.

"I am not possessed! Let me pass!!" She whined. You quickly picked Angie up when she was distracted.

"Stupid doll running off like that." You huffed.

"Eww! Y/ n why are you touching that thing???" Ashley gagged.

"This is Angie she belongs to lady Beneviento." You stated.

"I do not! I am her companion!" She explained.

"A companion that she made... With her own hands... You're still a doll even if you're 'alive'" you said before carrying her back to Donna.

"Here" you said putting the doll beside her.

Donna looked at you before she muttered a soft "thank you"

You nodded and bowed slightly. Alcina frowned slightly narrowing her eyes at Donna. She cleared her throat "Y/n." She said coldly.

You looked at her quickly noticing the tone of voice she had "is something the matter Alci--" you clar your throat correcting yourself "-my lady?"

"Stand by me.... I can't imagine you wanting to stand next to that nuisance of a doll." She said before taking a drag of her cigar.

You raised your eyebrow after faceing her jealousy enough time it didn't take much to realize what this was.

You smiled softly and stood next to her "over the smallest things I swear" you said softly seeming amused.

She glared at you for a moment before continuing her conversation with Donna.

not long later Donna and Angie left and Velvet went back to doing her work by herself. Which left you and Alcina alone...
