Chapter 23

It's been 3 months now. Alec is still searching for magnus restlessly. He is still feeling that burning sensation in his heart which keeps reminding him of the mistake he made and every time his heart beats like he is gonna have a heart attack whenever he goes to those places where he expects magnus would be. He had searched everywhere he could. He tried to find relatives but Magnus had no relatives anywhere. Alec has a beard now. He can't concentrate on anything too long. His anger is getting higher as each day passes after that night and he fails each day not finding him. He is angry most of himself. But whenever someone tries to mess with him that person would not leave without having a heavy punch of alec' fist. Once he went to one of Magnus' old college friends to ask if he knew about him.

" I always suspected that he might be the son of that old infamous terrorist... but then after so many years the truth came out on its own. He must be hiding somewhere in his father's hole like a rat -" before he could speak more he found himself hanging on the wall by Alec who banged him at the wall and held him by his neck in so much anger.

" If you spit out another bad word for him I will burn you alive... He is not like his father. " he spoke between his jaws.

" H-h-how m-any peo-pleee' mo-uths will you s-shut ? " The man fidgeting for his breath as his throat was chocked between Alec's Tight grip making his eyes watery.

"I don't know how many but I will kill all of them if they keep talking shit for my magnus."

His magnus...He is more oftenly using 'My magnus' whenever he had to and has to talk about Magnus or when someone talk shit about magnus because of the case.

His bad temper was taking him High and rude sometimes when his every move was failing and failing, he found himself in a bar and drunk until his mind stopped thinking or took him into those dreams which were filled with Magnus' smile. But still he was not having a peaceful sleep, whenever his alcohol let him sober he immediately woke up with the dream where magnus is crying and pleading. Alec sometimes wondered if Magnus was safe or not. That thought shook him and he immediately took the car and left to find Magnus.

He only visited home only 3 to 4 time in those 3 months . Izzy is worried cause she never saw him like this sick person about something. She is getting worried more Cause Alec is not working at the institute or neither visits the office.. As a result he is far from his work which is not good for his career. She sometimes finds alec' eyes too red and is doubtful if he is having some kind of intoxication or because of crying. Otherside Jace is also worried for him. He can't do much cause he has to handle everything when Alec is out of mind and business.

And then Maryse is fed up with Alec' behavior, who is not answering every time she called him, or whenever he receive he would only listen her yelling and scolding him to come back home and stop ruining his life for searching someone who is dead, he has future and someone is already waiting for him at home but she find herself speechless this time when Alec replied the same thing in return.

" Magnus is not dead. He is just far away somewhere from me. "

She closed her eyes in frustration and sighed before saying softly, wanting Alec to stop being stubborn.

" Alec.. Son ! We both know, you could not find him because he will never come back."

"No Mom...I'm going to find a way... I'm going to get him back alive...we never wanted him to die right Mom ? " He answered in excitement like he was near to find magnus.

Maryse was dumb founded and left with an open mouth and speechless when she realized how Alec ended up stuck with his enemy. Alec was feeling sorry for his enemy? His son was feeling guilty for what they had planned to be ? Death of Magnus was not in plan but that happen , for which Maryse was not feeling even a bit down but Alec was. He was acting like a lovesick man who is crazy to find Magnus and she can't help to make him come home. How have things changed like this? Of Course she wouldn't mind if Magnus was dead, she pushed herself to reply to Alec with a "Yes... we never wanted that." ... she hesitated to say but she doesn't want Alec to be far from her. She knows Alec loves her more than anything.
