Chapter 26

Alec smiled as he looked at the papers he was helding. He was in his office. He took out them from his drawer. It was the time to take them out of the darkness of the box. They were the same papers, he got signed by Magnus, and seperated them and did hide without anyone's knowledge. ( In chapter 15 )

"I will get what is mine." He told himself and left.

Wedding preparations were going on in full swing. It was a small pre-wedding party held by Andrew for his close friends today at his house and he was feeling like the luckiest person, all smiling. They all returned to the city the very next morning because they had to do preparation for the wedding.

Magnus was sitting on the couch between Ruby and Clary, while others were dancing and having fun. Clary was more than glad and relieved when she found out magnus. She was shocked when she came to know the truth, exactly what happened. She felt guilty for not being for Magnus in his sadness. And she was fully supportive of him. Yes.. She broke up with Jace 3 months ago just when she came to know that Jace was involved in all of that. She was the one who showed a mirror to Jace for what he did. But it was too late because Clary put a choice in front of him to pay for what he did. But he couldn't choose because he can't go against Maryse.

Andrew introduced some of his friends to Magnus , who was trying to get along with the party, cause it's been a while since he attended any party and the last one was disaster memory. After his breakdown he looked depressed. So enjoying was far away.

Asmodeus was far from the guests. His guards were in formal clothes, so no one would doubt his personality. He was looking at his son, who was trying to give a smile but it looked fake. He had talked to Magnus about the marriage, but Magnus refused to talk about it. It was obvious Magnus is not much open with his father nor called him as a dad. It hurts. Asmodeus knows, but at least Magnus gave him a chance , and that's enough for him. He will keep him safe no matter whatever he has to do.

Andrew's friends were teasing him to kiss Magnus, which made Magnus flinche internally, uncomfortable and he blinked in panic. Andrew noticed that, and he changed the topic immediately. Then he turned to Magnus and put his hand on Magnus's cheek, with a smile. The touch of him was unfamiliar, still comfortable to magnus.

"I'll never do something, you don't want to. I respect you Magnus." Magnus relaxed and nodded, with a smile. The genuine smile. Maybe Andrew will be the best husband. They were smiling to each other standing face to face, when a face could be seen between the gap of both of them, from far. Asmodeus saw and stood up from where he was sitting.

"Take your dirty hands away from my man." A firm voice filled with bitterness said, and everyone in the room stopped, looking at the entrance curiously.

Magnus and Andrew turned too. Magnus' gaze met with Alec.

Alec was standing there with a lawyer, as u could say by his black coat, and Alec helding some papers in his hand. Magnus noticed the confidence Alec was helding. He felt nervousness but he didn't know why. But one thing was crystal clear, he will not let Alec interfere with his life again.

"Mr. Bane you can't marry Mr. Andrew Underhill." The lawyer Said as he approached Magnus and Andrew, followed by Alec. He kept looking at Magnus, trying to catch the soft look he used to see. But Magnus turned his gaze ,  he was annoyed by alec' sudden appearance. Now what is he planning to stop the marriage ?

"And why is that so ? We can marry each other and no one can stop that." Andrew spoke, irritated.

"If you marry, your marriage would be illegal." The lawyer said.
