3rd Person POV:

Wendy stood at the front door of the Creel house as Lucas and Max were inside the attic to antagonize Vecna. Erica was at the small playground across the street, alerting Steve, Nancy, and Robin in the Upside Down that Venca was here.

Wendy was out here to relay the messages of emergencies. Emergencies such as Vecna won't take the bait, something is going wrong in the Upside Down, or there are other people showing up and to get out of there now.

"Lucas, Max, we got company out here," Wendy called up the stairs. "Get out of there now!"

Wendy quickly hid, hearing Lucas and Max cuss, and run out the attic and down the stairs.

"You think it's Jason?" Max asked as she and Lucas ran out of the house.

"I wouldn't be surprised if he followed us here to look for Eddie," Lucas said.

"What the hell are you two doing!?" Erica called out from her lookout spot.

"Wendy said we got company!" Lucas called out, both him and Max now very confused.

"The only company we had was a squirrel running out of a bush!" Erica sassed.

Wendy quickly raced out of her hiding spot and slammed the front door shut, using a chair to wedge under the doorknob.

"Wendy!?" Max and Lucas called out, banging on the door. "Wendy! What's going on!? What are you doing?!"

"I'm sorry guys," Wendy sighed. "He knows the plan, it wouldn't have worked."

"Wendy, let us in!" Lucas called out.

"I can't," Wendy shook her head. "I have to make sure you guys are safe."

Wendy heard Max tell Lucas to get help, to get Steve.

"Wendy, talk to me, please," Max pleaded through the door. "Why are you doing this?"

"He showed me what would happen, Max," Wendy said. "If we went through with this plan, you would've died."

"You don't know that," Max said, tears running down her face. "Just let me in, we will do this together, alright? Just..just wait for me, okay!"

"I'm sorry, Max," Wendy said, her own tears falling. "I can't see you get hurt. I love you too much."

Max froze.

"Tell everyone that I'm sorry," Wendy said, forcing herself to walk away from the door and go up the stairs to the attic.

"Wendy no!" Max screamed, hitting her shoulder against the door. "No!"

Wendy wiped her tears as she entered the attic, closing the door after her to block the devastating sounds of Max's screaming and begging.

Wendy saw the blue UV lamp shining very bright, knowing Vecna was there.

"Alright, you got what you wanted," Wendy said aloud. "I'm here."

Wendy took her walkman and smashed it onto the ground. She tossed her sword to the side.

"No music, no sword," Wendy said. "Just you and me."

The scenery around her changed, making Wendy sigh as she realized Venca had her mind. Instead of being in the attic, Wendy stood in the middle school gym where the Snowball dance was held. It was a fond memory of hers, where she and all her friends were having fun without fear in their hearts.

"I knew you would see it my way, Wendy," Vecna said, but his voice sounded different.

Wendy turned to face him and instead of seeing the grotesque monster she saw before, it was a man. Must be who he was before he was transformed. Henry.
