Chapter 5 - Ace swore!
*****Ace soon reappeared as Cora had continued to fight off the other cobras, so they couldn't see what she was writing. He was holding a small piece of paper in his hands, with a cocky smirk on his face.
"Ready little lady?"
Cora shrugged, unfazed as she stood up and brushed her dress down. Yet Ace went and sat down on one of the armchairs, leaning back as he brought one leg up to rest over his knee.
"Go on then darlin' you first." He gestured a hand at her before grabbing a cigarette from his packet, placing it in his mouth and lighting it.
"Oh no way, I'm not stupid. You give me your rules first." Cora shook her head as she looked down at him.
Ace took a long deep inhale from his cigarette before he removed it from his mouth, letting his arm rest on the armrest of the chair. He lightly blew the smoke from his nose as his fingers seemed to calmly twirl the cigarette.
"Rule number one, always do as I say, meaning you never say 'no' to me." Ace finally spoke as he looked up at her.
Cora was silent as she felt her teeth grit together.
"Understand your first rule?"
Cora wanted nothing more than to say 'no' just to push his buttons. However Ace could see that, and his grin only grew.
"Rule number two?" She asked, raising her eyebrows.
"Rule number two, it's your job to make sure the house is kept clean and tidy and my dinner is always ready and waiting for me."
Cora's mouth dropped slightly. "Oh so you're making your little housewife?"
Ace took another drag of his cigarette as he nodded, grinning up at her. "Always wanted one of those."
"Never thought you'd get one." One of the cobras muttered as they all sat listening.
"Rule number three..." Ace continued as he ignored their comment and looked up at Cora. "You wear what I tell you to wear."
Cora looked down at her dress before back up at him. "Funnily enough amidst running from my own wedding, I didn't have time to pack much else."
"Hey I'm not stopping you if you want to take it off?" Ace offered up, holding up both his hands before putting his cigarette back in his mouth.
"Rule number four, you're not to sleep with or even kiss any of these pricks." He waved a hand at the other cobras.
"Spoil sport." Eyeball mumbled.
"In fact, make that any man. You're not to touch any other man." Ace gave her a grin as he took another drag of her cigarette.
Cora took a deep breath. "And your last rule?"
Ace kept the cigarette in his mouth as he took another long drag before slowly removing it.
"Rule number five... You have to tell me you love me at least once a day, preferably right before we go to sleep side by side, unless I have company of course."
