*****

The door knocked fairly loudly and urgently as if the person knocking was desperate, which he was.

"Alright! Alright! Just give it-"

The door was opened as the girl who opened it stared blankly in silence.

"Connie... I need your help." Ace spoke in the most serious tone he could. "I'll owe you one."

Connie blinked a few times as her head was trying to understand.

"You- you need my help?"

"Yes."

"Like, you actually need my help?"

"Yes."

"Ace Merrill... needs my help?"

"Connie! What the fuck was that for?!" He snapped at her as his own hands went to his nose, that felt as though it was throbbing a little.

"You can't just kidnap girls Ace! We don't like that!" Connie snapped in return as she nursed her own nose and head, trying to fight off the tears in her eyes.

"Ew." Connie grimaced as she stared at him, taking a step backwards.

"Relax it was Billy's movie, not mine." Ace mumbled with a small laugh.

"What do you want Ace?" She tried to ask as she stood up straighter, trying to sniff and lightly dab her eyes.

"Well not you like that, I'm married." Ace answered, as if it was the most casual thing he'd ever said. "But I need your-"

"I'm sorry, you're what?" Connie asked, cutting his sentence off. "Did you just say you're married?"

"Yes."

"You're married?"

"Yes."

"Like, you are actually married?"

"Yes."

"You actually have a wi-"
