2 Days After
Over the past year, the town of Cailon has developed so much that it was no longer considered as a town. It is now one of the main cities in Aetheria, and it's so popular that new visitors pass through almost every hour.
At the moment, Keith had just reached Cailon. He hasn't been there since the celebration after returning from Veltrix's castle, so he was quite surprised to see it's development. He rode up to the front gate, which looked completely different than it used to. On the catwalk, two guards stood there to greet and give travellers permission to enter.
"Halt." One of the guards spoke.
"After all I've done, I should at least get a free pass..." Sighed Keith.
"We do not know who you are, so why do you think you deserve the right to enter without permission or clearance?" The guard asked.
"My name is Keith Halrun." Said Keith.
"Still doesn't ring a bell, sir." The other guard replied.
"For god's sake, I know Cal." Said Keith.
"Everyone does, he's one of the city's founders." The guard replied.
"I know him personally, okay?" Said Keith.
"How?" The guard asked.
"I helped him and the others in taking down The United Front." Said Keith.
The guards looked at each other, seemingly debating whether to believe him.
"Alright, I'll take your word for it." The guard said.
One of the guards climbed down and pulled the gate open, allowing Keith to ride his horse through and into Cailon. There were many more buildings and people then before. He rode over to the hitching posts and attached his horse to one, he then proceeded to walk to the main plaza. Keith looked around, taking in all the new buildings and people.
"Keith!" A familiar voice exclaimed from afar.
Keith turned his head and looked in the direction he was called from. And from across the bustling street, he saw a woman. She wore a light blue dress and had skin as white and pale as a cloud. Her pale skin meant that she was a vampire, but Keith wasn't alarmed. The reasoning behind his calm response was simple, this woman was a close friend. The woman ran across the street, directly up to Keith. This close friend was none other than the rogue witch and rogue vampire, Tessa Dellus.
"Hey Tessa." Said Keith.
"Keith, wow. It's so good to see you again." Said Tessa.
"You too." Replied Keith.
"So, what brings you here?" Asked Tessa.
"I need to speak with Cal." Replied Keith.
"Of course. Here, just follow me." Said Tessa.
Tessa began walking down the street, and Keith followed.
"What have you been up to, Keith?" Asked Tessa.
"Sightseeing, exploring, pretending to be a retired man." Replied Keith.
"Oh yeah?" She chuckled.
"What places have you been to?" Asked Tessa.
"Well, I was just down south in Solace. Mainly looking for ruins and that type of stuff." Replied Keith.
"Interesting." Said Tessa.
They stopped in front of a large cathedral, Tessa opened the door and held it open for Keith.
"Come on." Said Tessa.
