Tessa entered the tavern, and saw Cal and Elijah frozen in surprise as they stared at each other.
"Elijah!?" Yelled Tessa.
Elijah looked at Tessa, and was even more surprised.
"Oh great, now there's three of them!" The bartender yelled.
Elijah looked back at the bartender.
"Don't you dare include those people into our little altercation, they're good people!" Yelled Elijah.
"Why not? How the hell do I know they're any better than you and I?" The bartender asked.
"Because that witch and swordsman over there...
"...are Vanguards Of Aetheria." Said Elijah.
The bartender was shocked, and looked ashamed.
"Oh, I'm terribly sorry for insulting you two!" The bartender whined.
"It's fine." Replied Cal.
"You want to tell us what's happening here, Elijah?" Asked Tessa.
"Apparently this guy doesn't have any water, even though there's a damn faucet right there." Said Elijah.
"Are you refusing to get this man a freaking water? Seriously?" Asked Tessa.
"Well..." The bartender muttered.
"You know, maybe Elijah here has the right to get pissed off." Replied Tessa.
Tessa looked quite pissed off as she proceeded to walk behind the counter, used her magic to conjure a fancy looking glass, and pour water from the tap into the glass. She then handed it to Elijah and walked back around the counter.
Elijah thanked her by nodding her head and drank the water from the glass. Upon finishing it, the glass disintegrated into magic particles.
"Let's go." Said Tessa.
Elijah stood up and began to walk out, Tessa and Cal followed behind.
"That was one awkward reunion." Said Cal.
Tessa didn't look at Elijah as they crossed the street.
"It's nice to see you again, Cal." Said Elijah.
"You too, man." Replied Cal.
"Thanks for sorting that out, Tessa." Elijah spoke to Tessa with some hesitation in his voice.
"You're welcome, but don't think that you and I are back to being cool together. You have a lot to make up for." Replied Tessa.
"Whatever you say..." Elijah sighed.
"Anyways..."
"...Where have you been? What have you been doing this whole time?" Asked Cal.
"I was just tying up some loose ends." Replied Elijah.
They continued to walk down the street.
"Maybe you could elaborate a little further..?" Asked Cal.
"Remember that bounty hunting business I pursued?" Asked Elijah.
"Yeah?" Replied Cal.
"I wasn't hunting random bounties, I was hunting down some old friends. Tracking each of them down was quite the experience, I had travel across the whole continent of Terren." Explained Elijah.
"Oh really? How were the places like Frosarctica?" Asked Cal.
"Cold, obviously. It was where my last target was holed up, and I had to fight through icy monstrosities and knights that were working with the Queen." Replied Elijah.
