1:00 PM. Cailon, Aetheria.
They quickly departed from Trayton, and made their way across the Bridged Plains and back to Aetheria. Their plan was to store it at the cathedral back in Cailon, and it was the perfect spot as well.
As the group rode into Cailon, the townspeople perked up and quickly ran over to them in a rush of excitement.
"The Vanguards are back!" The townsfolk exclaimed.
"You guys got quite the fanbase." Said Jill.
"We're pretty much heroes of Aetheria." Replied Cal.
The group continued to ride through Cailon and towards the cathedral. They hitched their horses out front of it and then walked inside.
"I'm going to go place the rune somewhere safe, you guys can just hang around." Said Cal.
He walked down the hallway and towards the basement stairs, while the others spread out around the main hall and did their own things.
Jill sharpened her Kunai, Victoria headed to the kitchen, and Tessa began to approach Elijah for some reason.
"Hey, Elijah?" Asked Tessa.
"Hm?" Replied Elijah.
"I've been thinking... I'm sorry for being such an asshole ever since we reunited. I didn't know what was wrong with me." Said Tessa.
Elijah's eyes widened in surprise, he was baffled that Tessa was actually apologizing to him. But he also thought of one more thing...
"R-Really?" Asked Elijah.
Tessa nodded and smiled. "Yeah."
"Does this mean..?" Elijah asked.
"Yes, I'd be happy to get back together." Tessa nodded.
Elijah wrapped his hands around her, holding her in a warm embrace. Tessa was caught off guard by Elijah's action, but she wasn't annoyed or anything like that, so she patted him on the back a few times.
Victoria walked out of the kitchen with a glass of water, but when she saw Elijah and Tessa hugging, her jaw dropped and she stopped moving.
Elijah and Tessa let go of each other, and looked towards Victoria.
"Hey." Said Tessa.
"Congrats!" Victoria exclaimed. "I'm so happy you two made up!"
"I am too." Elijah nodded and smiled.
Cal then walked back into the main hall, and saw what had happened as well.
"Never thought I'd see the day..." Cal muttered.
During all this, Jill was happy for them. This unexpected moment had enlightened everyone's mood.
"Don't let us distract everyone, we still have to come up with a plan to deal with Stellaria." Said Tessa.
"Right." Replied Cal.
"So, what do you all have in mind?" Asked Jill.
