7 Hours Later
After a long day of riding, they've arrived at their first town. This town was known as "Clavellen."
This small town borders a landmark known all across Terren as the "Lush Jungle." The Lush Jungle is home to various forms of plant life. Rumour has it, some of them are even sentient.Cal and the others trotted into the town, they approached and stopped in front of a tavern.
"Let's get some food, I'm starving." Said Cal.
Tessa slid down off of her skeleton horse's back, and snapped her fingers. This made her skeleton horse disappear into thin air. Meanwhile, the others hitched their horses and dismounted. The four of them proceeded to walk into the tavern, Cal pushing open the swinging doors and holding it open for the others. Once they entered, they made their way to a table and sat down.
"I'm excited to see the wonders that surround this town." Said Tessa.
"You talking about the Lush Jungle?" Asked Cal.
"Yeah, I heard that there is some sentient plant life that resides within." Replied Tessa.
"I doubt that." Said Keith.
"No, really! There has been sightings of straight up humanoid plants." Explained Tessa.
"I'll believe it when I see it." Replied Keith.
One of the waitresses then approached their table, she placed four menus on the table for them.
"Hello everyone, what can I get you all for this evening?" The waitress asked.
They all looked at the menus, looking for what they want to order.
"I'll take the azalea rim soup." Said Tessa.
"I'll have that too." Said Victoria.
"I'll have the pulled pork sliders with the chicken salad." Said Cal.
"Okay, and what about you?" The waitress asked while looking at Keith.
"I'll have the macaroni and cheese with the pepperoni and bacon toppings." Said Keith.
The waitress wrote their orders down, and nodded as she walked into the kitchen.
"I think that azalea rim soup is made from some of the herbs and azalea petals found in the Lush Jungle." Said Tessa.
"It would make sense. They have one hell of a backyard out there, so why not utilize its natural resources?" Replied Cal.
After a few minutes of waiting, the waitress came out of the kitchen with their food. She approached their table and handed them their respective meals.
"Thank you." Said Cal.
"You're most welcome. If there's anything you need, let me know." Said the waitress as she waved goodbye and went back to taking orders.
The four of them began to eat. The azalea rim soup tasted like a salty cup of tea, but it was surprisingly good. The pulled pork sliders that Cal had tasted just as he expected, but it was still good. And the macaroni and cheese that Keith ordered had bits of bacon and pepperoni sprinkled on the top, and bigger chunks of bacon and pepperoni were deeper in the pasta.
As they continued to eat, Cal saw a group of four people enter the tavern. They wore similar clothes with a familiar emblem, the emblem belonging to none other than the Headhunters Assassin Guild.
"What the fuck are they doing here?" Muttered Cal.
"What?" Asked Keith.
"Some headhunter assassins just walked in." Said Cal.
