Trent and Gwen have been in love with each other since the first day they met in English class freshman year. They instantly clicked and talking was never awkward and always easy. After 3 years of being friends you would think one of them would have the balls to tell the other, but they don't. But today is different, Trent is finally going to man up and tell Gwen. He pulled his phone out of his pocket to text her. He stared at his phone for a minute, deciding what to say.

Trent looked up to see his friend, Geoff walking towards him. "What's up man?" Geoff held out his hand to dap Trent up but quickly noticed the look on his face. "Dude, you look like you're trying to answer the biggest question of your life. Whatcha thinkin about?"

Trent rubbed his hands over his face, turning his phone off. "I'm going to confess to Gwen tonight but I don't know how to invite her over without sounding too serious or too relaxed." Geoff's probably not the best person to ask girl advice for but Trent was getting desperate and didn't want to send the text message too late.

"Awh dude you're asking the right person. You gotta make it sound chill but also toss in a hint of seriousness so she'll be thinking about it."

"That's.. actually not a terrible idea. I honestly was expecting something way worse, no offense."

Geoff put his hands up as if he was surrendering, "None taken man. I'm just lucky with the ladies." Geoff winked as he said this flexing his muscles.

"Dude, didn't you leave a heart shaped box decorated is raw macaroni in Bridgette's locker freshman year? And didn't you write something on the back of it?"

"I still remember it like it was yesterday. "I hope you think of me whenever you drop loose change into this.""

Trent cringed at his friend giving him a look of confusion and a hint of disgust. "I still don't understand how she fell for you."

"Whatever man, you're just jealous because you've been hooked on Gwen for 3 year and haven't done anything about it."

"That's because I don't know if she likes me back. I don't want to lose her as a friend."

"Cmon Trent, don't you guys send hearts to each other? Stop being a pussy and just go for it. You never know, I've heard a few things from Bridgette so if I were you I'd get on with sending that message." Geoff patted Trent on the back and walked started to walk off.

"Wait what. Geoff what did she say!"

Geoff turned around walking backwards and shrugged, a grin appearing on his face. God that idiot, Trent mumbled to himself before going back on his phone to Gwen's contact. He clicked on the message button and started to type. He deleted his message multiple times before clicking send.
