Read. That's all Noah seemed to want to do, and with a hyperactive teenager as your roommate, it's hard to find quiet. Cody and Noah had been roommates since their freshman year of college. Surprisingly, they got along very well dispute their different personalities.
Usually on a Saturday evening, Cody would be out doing God knows what but today he decided to stay in. Bad idea. He was currently sitting upside down on the couch, kicking his feet at the back of it. Noah was of course reading, trying to pay no attention to Cody.
By now, Noah would've asked for a new roommate, but something about Cody stuck with Noah. Yes, he was annoying, but Noah liked it. He liked having someone around to push him outside of his comfort zone but also knows when to stop.
Cody decided to mess around with Noah and flipped his legs off the couch. He made his way over to where Noah was sitting and dramatically flopped on the couch. "Noahhhhh," Cody said, peeking over his shoulder to see what he was reading.
"If you've come over here to bother me, don't, I'll just ignore you," Noah responded, flipping the page over. Cody crossed his arms like a child.
"Come on Noah, all you do is read and I'm bored."
"Cody have you ever even picked up a book?" Noah said, putting the book-marker in and setting it down.
"Uhhh, last time I read a book on my own was like 7th grade?"
Noah shook his head, "Jesus."
"I don't understand how you can sit here all day and read."
Noah picked the book back up and opened it again, "You have your ways of fun and I have mine. You never know, you might enjoy it."
Cody looked at Noah and then back at the book. He moved right next to Noah and again looked over his arms to read.
Noah turned his head towards Cody, realizing what he was doing. He slightly blushed and looked away. "What are you doing?"
"Reading," Cody responded.
"I'm in the middle of this, you're not going to understand what's happening."
"I don't care, I'm reading aren't I?"
Noah rolled his eyes and continued reading, "Yeah, I guess so."
