"Okay, okay," I exhale with a smile. My hands hold my jacket sleeves which lay across Ali's shoulders as I begin gently unwinding them. "Guess I should catch up with Clarke now."

She starts to help me unfold the sleeves from her neck as I back up. But she frowns in confusion. "What are you doing?"

I briefly look her in the eye. "Joining Clarke's escapade," I tell her, remembering what happened when Clarke pulled out her map earlier. Ali's part of the reason we know we have to go. "Coming with?"

She stares at me, but I only half smirk and wait out the inevitable reply. "Ugh," she groans, and I inwardly pump my fist. Instead, I excitedly bite my lip. "You have this pull on me, Ede."

Her hand yanks my uninjured arm closer as if it's the opposite of what she's just said.

"Well, that's how I like it," I answer, beaming.

She links our arms before we head over to the side of drop ship where Clarke is standing by a mound of grass, dirt, and rock.

"Hey," I greet, taking in Clarke's appearance. She's stressed out. I don't know why she does it to herself. That's how she ended up in prison in the first place.

"Eiden," she exhales.

"That's my name," I say off-handedly. Speaking of, I drop my arm from Ali's as I move closer to stand over Clarke's shoulder. My arm reaches down as I place my left hand on the edge of her map. "How long have you been at this?" I ask in concern. I see her frown despite her not looking up and resist sighing.

"Hey, Ali," Clarke suddenly says, as if finally noticing the girl's there. It's only been a couple hours since we all talked. Clarke and Ali had their conversation, but it had been a little awkward. I had to bring up that it was Ali's birthday. "It's... Okay, so, we're here."

She points just as Wells joins us. I look up and give him an annoyed smile since he's an idiot for purposely putting himself here.

His gaze breaks from mine when he looks between me and Clarke. I frown at his frown and back away half a foot from Clarke. I guess he's right. We were standing pretty close, but goodness, it's not like I'm making a move.

"Clarke, I think we should wait till tomorrow."

"You're not really in the position to be making decisions, Wells. Clearly you don't make smart ones," Clarke says and sighs.

"Are you still mad that I burned the last tree? We're in a forest now, Clarke—"

"No," she cuts him off, still studying the map.

This may take a while. I quickly glance at Ali who seems just as annoyed. Her eyes glint looking at me, and it's the only indication that she's not going to walk away.
