Never in a million years did I think I'd leave Japan. I had been informed it would happen, but I didn't think it would. I didn't want to leave because life was good there. When the day finally arrived, I felt excited in different ways. Thinking about leaving the ones I cherish behind made me want to cry. My mother informed me that we were relocating to New York City, a large city. I wasn't sure if it was nicer than Shibuya, my hometown.

I was quite disappointed when we arrived. New York City is a very different city from Shibuya. It was trashy and had a high level of crime. I didn't understand why my parents would want to move here in the first place until they told me that they made good money here. In time, I grew fond of this city and some of its people. It wasn't bad for my first year.

When I overheard several of my parents' employees talking about their work two years later, I began to doubt my parents' business. Something concerning a man known as "The Shredder." I could tell he sounded dangerous, and I was right. I tried to talk to my parents about it after doing some research, but every time I tried, they swiftly changed the conversation. Of course, they forced me to take ninjitsu, dance, and painting for the following two years in an effort to keep me occupied. I was upset by it, so I started acting rebellious toward them in an effort to get their attention and potentially get the information I was looking for, but it didn't really work. I hope I find the perfect way for them to tell me before I figure it out myself.

Another cold night in the city with the moon shining its light from high above. It was lovely weather to go shopping but it was quite dangerous. Of course, Akari being confident was why she would get in trouble many times, but it worked since it got her parents' attention. So far, there was still no luck in making them share information since they tightened up everyone from talking to her about it. It has been lonely ever since. The friends that she made never stayed. They were temporary friendships that never tried to reconnect. She was lonelier than ever.

Remembering how fun shopping was around them, she took the route they would take for better lighting and to be safe. The girl didn't want to keep going there, it broke her, so she took another. It took her to an alleyway, which gave her bad vibes. A group of men was seen in the middle of the dark alley. They wore strange suits next to a big van, and it was very suspicious. The weird men in suits weren't the only ones there. Another group of men who were quite different stood there as well. The ones in tuxes got into their vehicle and drove off. As the girl watched, she didn't notice the ones watching her closely as well.

One of the men spotted the girl crouching behind the trash bins Akari could've run, but there was no point in running with them having weapons pointed at her. "Who's there!?" "Get over here slowly. Don't even try to run!" The group of men looked like regular gangsters, nothing like the ones who drove off wearing fancy clothing, and tuxedos. Akari had no choice but to put her hands in the air and get up slowly to not cause alarm.
