Day 4: Return

*M's POV*

The meeting with Sabre was good and we have a date for our next meeting. All I have to do now is make sure I get back to my house without anyone realising I was gone.

I quickly make my way through the trees and back to the forest. I didn't teleport in too close to my home incase someone heard it and found me.

I'm about to get to my house when I notice the Red Leader at my door. That's not good. Thankfully, it doesn't look like he's been there long so I might be able to make him think I went on a small stroll in the kingdom rather than a rather large stroll outside the kingdom.

I quietly take off my cloak as he might realise I was out longer than I suggested. Before taking a deep breath and walking out into the open.

"Oh, hey Red Leader."

He turns around a bit surprised but seems relieved nonetheless. I take a few steps closer so neither of us will have to shout.

"Ah, there you are my apprentice. I was just wondering where you were as you weren't answering your door. Where were you exactly?"

I mentally prepare myself to make the most convincing lie I can.

"I was just out on a stroll, I needed to stretch my legs."

I hope he believed that. He seems to be contemplating it and is staring at me a bit. Maybe, I should just change the subject.

"Anyways, do you need me for something?"

He blinked a couple of times as if he just remembered why he was here.

"Yes, my apprentice. The Professor has caused some... inconveniences to the kingdom and I need your help to get him to fix it."

"He blew up something again, didn't he."

"Yeah, basically."

I mentally sigh at the Professor's antics but for once I thank him for getting the Leader's attention off me, even though he did blow up something. I follow the Leader as he starts walking towards to where I assume the explosion was, but as we walk he looks over his shoulder at me.

"Don't think this conversation is over dear apprentice, I noticed your cloak behind that tree. Your just lucky that the Professor chose today of all days to try out his newest experiment."

Welp, I'm probably in trouble.

This chapter is basically a continuation of the first chapter with M returning home and possibly getting in trouble.

(Not really, Professor Red caused quite a ruckus and that required a lot of the Red Leader's attention so M had time to make up a convincing story)

Sorry, this chapter is also short, I once again didn't have many ideas.
