Day 18: Voice

*Sabre's POV*

I'm starting to get worried about the other me, and I can tell everyone else is as well. He hasn't hurt anyone or anything but he seems unsettling. We sent him to Thera to see if they could help, but nothings changed. 

I decided to have a walk through the woods to clear my head, we're all probably just being paranoid-

"I wouldn't trust him."

What!? Who was that?!

I quickly search around me for any movement or any sign that someone I'd there. I don't see anything.

"Who are you? Where are you?"

The voice takes a bit to respond as if they were discussing with someone else about what to tell me, but without talking.

"I wouldn't trust the other you. He's not a good person."

What?

I hear some rustling and look around but I still can't see anyone.

"What do mean don't trust the other me?"

There is no response, either whoever I was talking to didn't know what to say or they've already left. I think back to the voice, it sounded so familiar, like I've heard it a lot. In fact it seemed quite similar to my own...

I come to a realisation and smack myself on the head for being an idiot.

The voice sounded like Shadow. Which probably means that there was no one here to begin with and it was just Shadow messing with me. Although, usually he can't talk to me unless I specifically want him to, due to him being stuck in the Everything, so he must of learnt a new trick.

How?

I send Shadow the thought and wait for his response. It takes a second but he does respond, but he seems confused.

How, what?

How were you able to talk without me thinking about it?

Shadow takes a while to respond, he still seems confused but he might just be trying to decide what to tell me.

I didn't? 

Shadow, you literally just spoke to me. You were trying to convince me not to trust the other me.

I literally didn't.

Yeah, yeah Shadow. You're just pretending you don't know what you just did, aren't you? Just so you can try and manipulate me to release you again. Well, I'm not falling for it.

I think you might of finally gone insane—

I cut off Shadow's last sentence and block him from talking to me anymore. He probably won't tell me anything useful anyway. Hopefully, he doesn't do that again. I look up at the sky and realise it's getting quite late. I should probably start heading back...

*Meanwhile (Third person POV)*

Two cloaked figure sneak through the forest. Eventually, they get to a small cave that's covered in vines and they both go in.

One of them takes out a journal and writes something inside, before showing it to the other one. The other one takes a second to read it before sighing.

"I don't know if he got the message, M. But, unfortunately, it's all we can do for now."
