*Orange's POV*

I can't believe Red is gone. We underestimated how much stronger the darkness has gotten, even after it managed to break out of the tomb. And now, I've lost Red because of it.

I realise I was in the same area that we found the mysterious creature that helped us. It seems like forever ago that we went looking for them, believing them to be a monster of some sort, before they saved us from some darkness. We never did find them again after that, but Red always thought they were out there, somewhere.

I find the small pond that me and Red would usually go to. We would sit here and talk to each other, usually quite loudly. Red came up with the idea so that we could let the creature know what was going on, even if they didn't fully trust us.

I sit down, staring at my reflection in the water and smile slightly, why not carry on that tradition.

"Hey, so, I'm not sure if your listening but, I have some, bad news. If you were listening the last time Red and I were here, you would know about the darkness breaking out of that tomb and that we had created the Rainbow Hub together, so that we could create the third hero. I'm sure you've probably dealt with the darkness a few times, and I think you would of noticed how much stronger it's gotten, but..."

My reflection was disrupted by ripples as tears began to flow down my cheek.

"...I didn't notice it, and now Red's gone. The darkness attacked, and I tried to help, but, I couldn't, and well, I think you get it."

I wipe the tears from my eyes and stare down at my reflection. I know that their not out there. I'm probably just talking to the wind, but talking about it made me feel better, even if I was just talking to myself.

I realise the reflection of they sky, which was a bright blue was now orange and red, letting me know that sunset is upon us. Exhaustion tumbled into me as I recalled that I haven't slept since Red's death.

I lay down on my side. I probably shouldn't sleep out here, darkness could easily attack me but I'm too tired to care. I manage to somehow get comfortable, well as comfortable as I can while lying in the grass. My eyes drooped but before I closed them fully, I could of sworn I saw something moving in the tree line, however, I was already too sleepy to care.

*Tiny Time Skip (brought to you by Time Steve who specifically went back in Time to give you this Tiny Time Skip)*

I slowly feel myself returning to consciousness. I was having a dream where I was with Red at the Rainbow Hub, but I got interrupted by me waking up. I pull my blanket closer and snuggle into my pillow as I try to get back to sleep.

Wait, didn't I go to sleep outside...

I quickly sit up, my eyes snapping open as I quickly look around. Only, I'm still at the pond. I look at my reflection again to see the confusion in my eyes, as well as my morning hair. I quickly smooth it down as I try to piece together what happened.

Let's see, I fell asleep with no blanket and pillow, and now I have them. Yep, still confused.

I look down at the blanket, looking at it's strange pattern of chickens and realise how dirty it is from me sleeping in the dirt. I look at the pillow to see it matches the blanket, from the pattern to it also being dirty. They really need a wash.

I get up and prepare to leave, before looking towards the tree line and remembering something. The figure that moved about. Wait, was the creature actually listening? Did they give me the blanket and pillow?

I crouch down and look over the blanket before finding a small tag sewn in near it's edge.

Property of Sabre

Huh. Well, at least now I can stop calling him the creature. A look at the pillow showed a similar tag, also sewn into it. I smile slightly and decide to return the favour by washing them for him.

I pick up my new friends stuff before teleporting back to the Rainbow Hub. I mean, he did help me, so that practically makes us best friends in my book. I wonder if he likes pufferfish...

===================

ExtinctAU, Sabre helps Orange out of pity and now he's never getting rid of him.

Still can't believe this is the last prompt. I had a lot of fun writing this and I want to thank @LoneRanger253 for making all these wonderful prompts!
