*TR!M's POV*
I keep flicking through the pages in my book as me and Elite watch the village inhabitants from a tree. I feel guilty about the fact we're just watching a bunch of innocent steves but we're trying to see how we could warn them without something going terribly wrong.
Hypno warned us that Sabre could do something terrible if we got caught by him. Unfortunately, he never explained what and we haven't been able to find him since.
"Calm down, M"
Elite's voice cut through my thoughts and I stop flicking the pages of by book. I look at him as he looks at me with what seems to be concern, although Elite would never admit it . Most people find it hard to tell what Elite is feeling but I've spent enough time with him to somewhat guess what he might be feeling.
I realise that I've been flicking the pages of my book this whole time and it might draw attention to us. I come to the conclusion that I won't be much use here and quickly scribble down a note in my book and show it to Elite.
Can I take a walk around the area?
Elite reads it before eventually nodding.
"Sure, just don't be too long."
He turns back to the village before I slowly climb down the tree, putting my hood down so that I could see the area below more clearly. Once I got down I walked away from the village and into the woods, admiring the beauty of the nature in this world. For reasons I could probably guess, even the leaves on the trees seemed more vibrant than our old world.
I was so lost in my own thoughts that I didn't we've realise I was walking into someone until it was too late. I stumbled back from the impact before looking at the person in front of me.
"Oh jeez, sorry..."
It was Sabre.
I stare at him in fear, terrified about what he might decide to do. But I get confused when he looks at me with concern.
"M! Are you okay? I didn't mean to bump into you like that. What brings you so far from the Red Kingdom?"
I take another look, carefully taking in his appearance before realising this is the Sabre from this universe not ours. I'm a bit relieved about this but this still isn't very good. Elite and I had decided not to show ourselves incase it created more trouble, but here I am, standing next to the one person who might freak out the most about this.
"M? Are you okay?"
Worry grows on Sabre's face as I wonder what to tell him. Should I tell him the truth or not? I remember back to when Twisted Rainbow manipulated our Sabre, which eventually turned him into the monster I know him as today. I decide to take a gamble and just tell him the truth. I take out my book before scribbling down something quickly and showing it to him.
I'm not your M. I'm from another universe. Please don't freak out.
Sabre stares at the words for a few seconds before something seems to click in his head.
"Oh! Are you from the same universe as the other me?"
I flinch a bit at the mention of our Sabre but nod my head.
"He told me what happened to your universe, I'm sorry..."
Something tells me the other Sabre didn't exactly tell him the truth but I decide to brush it off.
It's fine.
He smiles a bit after reading that but looks somewhat confused about something.
"Um, not to sound rude or anything but what's with the book?"
