This is not going to be an opening chapter; instead, it'll be me asking you for your opinions!

As you probably know, Flashback is originally mostly Sophie and Fitz recovering in the Healing Center, and about 400 pages are on Sophitz and Sokeefe interactions, complete with Foster's classic obliviousness.

That... doesn't particularly work with this story.

So, I need your opinion.

Would you prefer:

1. I change up the entire Healing Center scenes and probably take forever to write a chapter;

2. I make a fuck ton of action while Sophie and Fitz are healing;

or 3. I just time skip their entire healing process.

I'm personally leaning toward option number 3. It's lazy, but it also opens more room for me to add my personal flair to Flashback... including a reason as to why this portion will still be called Flashback. (believe me, if I didn't come up with that idea on a Red Bull at 3:00 AM last night I would've completely replaced to name)

Also, I would like to know your opinions on my O/Cs! I love writing June and Faye, don't get me wrong, but I'd like to know if there's something disagreeable or contradictory with the characters. If you think they go out of character at some point in the story, please let me know! And don't worry, they will be getting good scenes in Flashback.

I'm considering potentially adding another O/C (probably at the beginning of Legacy... and yes, the O/C will explain why it's called Legacy), but I haven't come up with a name, appearance, or personality yet. So... your thoughts. Feel free to respond with your own O/C, or any ideas, or anything. Just no abilities; I've decided on one already. Everything else is fair game!

That's not it, actually! This is a general announcement as to how this story will continue.

I've decided that my current POV system is much too difficult to write, especially for complex/multi-character fight scenes. Therefore, I will proceed by using

-

to indicate a time skip, POV change, or any other interruption/break. It should be obvious as to which character's POV has been changed to (if applicable), but I'll also add the initials of the character in italics.

For example, June would be

- J.R.

Faye would be

- F. K.

And Sophie would be

- S. F.

Time skips will be happening. These will be used in several occasions.

If it is referring to a flashback to a previous chapter or event, it will be noted as - (chapter number, name) or - (event). Sometimes the date will be used, either relatively or explicitly. For example:

- 37. Three Minutes to Midnight  

- Attack on Havenfield

- two days ago

- Febuary 8, 2023

Other uses will be clarified in this chapter, if it ever comes up.

In addition, when multiple POVs are referenced in a scene, this will be used:

- meanwhile

when rapid switches between POVs, but at the same instance of time, are occuring. Assume two events separated by a - meanwhile are happening simultaneously, and ignore slight differences in duration.
