Their Smile

The Crimson smiled upon the world, yet nothing happened. As if this world had gained The Chaos's favour. He snarled as the cosmos shook, responding to his annoyance. Then the Destruction stepped in. She smiled upon the world and... nothing happened.

She pouted, her expression bitter. The Nightmare shook her head in amusement before she walked into one of the stars. Plucked it from the sky and began to sing a lullaby.

A symphony of doom flowed through the space around them, a howl of agony seeped out from her lips as she stared at the world. Then, like a scream of a banshee, a rift appeared as the nameless souls entered the world from between the cracks.

"This should be enough to distract those three."

Said The Nightmare with a satisfied smile. But The Crimson thought this was not enough... so he summoned the Tarnished souls from the depths of the forgotten abyss.

He whispers to one of the souls...

"Instilled fear in the mortal. And reap the fruit of origin from the mother's womb. Bring it to us."

He smirks as the souls slowly fly through the cracks, entering the world to carry out his mission.

The scene changed to a white-haired woman sitting at her desk as she sorted out the documents. A sense of dread washed over her heart, she looked around, but no one was there except her. It must be her imagination...

...

...

...

A lullaby of nightmare echoed through the empty space, catching The Time off guard. She got up from the stairs, her gaze fell on The Death's.

"Pay it no mind."

The one who answered it was The Life.

"They're here sooner than I expected."

She narrowed her eyes, a sour expression visible on her face.

"What do we do? Should we-"

"No, that would be unnecessary. We shouldn't be worried about them. It would take them another hundred years to fully manifest themselves in this world."

The Life replied, smiling at The Death. Then the Time walks in as she speaks...

"Unless they want to be part of the Supreme One's creation... is that what you want to say?"

"Yes, correct. The Crownless currently reside outside the creation. Because THEY exist as something else outside of it. So the moment they entered the creation..."

"The rule will be forced upon THEM, I see... Make sense."

But the Shades didn't know one thing. The Crownless didn't need to manifest themselves... Or rather, they don't want to. They just need to find a perfect vessel...

Cutting through their moment of peace, one of the Tarnished souls managed to find this place, they quickly turned their gaze toward the soul, staring at it.

The soul took the form of a humanoid shape with abstract colours.

"The mother's womb..."

They murmured as they walked toward the shades of death.

"Huh!"

With a single flick of her hand, a lump of dark energy shoots toward the soul before it devours them. But to everyone's surprise, they came unscathed.
