The little girl opens her eyes, finding herself in a crowd. The city was packed with merchants and locals. She was confused. If her memory serves her right, she was supposed to be trapped inside the barrier at the sanctuary. Yet here she is, standing in front of the endless crowds.

Then, from the west, she heard heavy footsteps. A group of soldiers was looking for her.

The disappearance of Lesser Lord Kusanali had finally reached the Grand Sage. He ordered all of the troops to search for her by all means.

Nahida's heart is racing as she can't feel air in her throat. She couldn't afford to get caught, not when she was close to her goal.

So Nahida turned around and started running. She could hear their footsteps, getting closer and closer.

"There she is!"

One of the soldiers shouted. Her heart was beating faster. She used all of her strength but her tiny figure gave her a disadvantage.

"Catch her!"

Their footsteps are drawing closer and closer until...

"Close your eyes!"

A gentle and mysterious voice rang inside her head. She doesn't have the time to think so she just closed her eyes, preparing for the worst.

When she opened her eyes again, she found herself in a different part of the city. Nahida narrowed her eyes in confusion.

"Keep running!"

There's the voice again. Nahida started running, away from the crowd as she found a secluded alley. She rests one hand on the wall as she catches her breath.

"Who are you?"

Nahida asked but the voice didn't answer. Only silence and the rustling sound from faraway were present. After regaining her stamina, Nahida decides to leave the alley in search of the Traveler. And it seems like she really hit the jackpot.

"Aghh!"

She bumped into him, falling onto the ground with a soft thud.

Paimon: Hey, are you okay?!

The fairy flies over to her. Helping Nahida get back to her feet.

As their gaze met, her eyes lit up with hope. She quickly grabbed him by his wrist, dragging him away to the alley.

Paimon: Ah, wait! Where're you going!?

The fairy panicked as the little girl dragged Aether away. She looked at Dunyarzad with a conflicted face.

Paimon: D-Dunyarzad...

"It's okay, Paimon. Go ahead."

With an apologetic face, Paimon flies away, catching up with the Traveler.

...

...

...

Paimon: Dunyarzad...

The fairy looked at the girl in front of her, sleeping not so peacefully. A pained expression was visible on her face. Their encounter with Nahida was the catalyst to awaken their memories. And now, they know what to do. Find the answer and help Dunyarzad. And of course, broke free from this loop.

Nahida: Good luck. I'll be waiting here.

While collecting information, they learned about the Akasha Terminal and the Akademiya. But it's still too soon to come to a conclusion.

And after a lot of here and there, this time... they want to try something else.

Leaving the city.

So, they return to Nahida and ask her about it.
