Sahasra was pulled into a classroom by Raj while she was on her way to the canteen to eat dinner with the girls.
"Excuse me sir," Sahasra broke her hand from Raj's grab and rushed towards the door but was stopped by him.
"Why? I'M SERIOUSLY ASKING — WHY DID YOU GET MARRIED? TO MAKE ME JEALOUS HUH?" He started coming closer to her.
"Why would I make you jealous?" Sahasra scoffed.
"Come on! I've been hitting on you since you arrived, sitting with you during lunch and dinner," Raj replied in frustration.
"But I think you missed that I always ignored you. The doctor's cabin is just down the corridor, go get a check-up," Sahasra smirked at him.
Raj couldn't take in such an insult. He got mad. "You married Nikhil. WHY DO I UNKNOWINGLY BUT ALWAYS FALL FOR THE GIRL HE IS WITH? Now I'm more excited," he grinned and extended his hand to touch her shoulder.
Sahasra jerked his hand off before he could touch her saying, "SHUT UP! AND STAY AWAY FROM ME!" She tried to go towards the door again, but Raj grabbed her waist.
Sahasra hadn't come for dinner yet, so Nikhil went to her friends and asked, "Where is Sahasra?"
Geet was grinning like a stupid lady, so Ramya answered, "She told us to have dinner without her since she had some 'important business' to handle."
"Okay, thank you," Nikhil looked around, feeling restless. I know something is wrong — I can feel it, he thought.
"LEAVE ME," Sahasra screamed and pushed Raj away from her. Her push was so hard that he fell on the ground, moaning in pain.
"Sahasra, listen, I think you'll look good on my bed—" Raj tried to get up but Sahasra slapped him hard.
"FIRSTLY, SHUT UP. I BET YOUR ASS MUST BE JEALOUS OF ALL THE SHIT THAT COMES OUT FROM YOUR MOUTH!" Sahasra roared, and Raj was too stunned to speak.
"SECONDLY, I AM NOT VARNIKA. I AM LOYAL TO MY HUSBAND, AND ALWAYS WILL BE. COME NEAR ME AGAIN AND I'LL DO SOMETHING THAT YOU'LL REGRET EVEN TALKING TO ME."
"THIRDLY, YOU'RE AN OFFICER IN THE PRESTIGIOUS AIR FORCE. DON'T CONTAMINATE THIS PURE ENVIRONMENT. HAVE SOME SHAME! YOU ARE AN OFFICER FOR GOD'S SAKE! CHI!!"
Saying thus, Sahasra spat on the ground and walked towards the door. As she opened the door, Raj said, "Wait—"
"Sorry I don't waste my time on pervs like you," she said and then locked the door. Satisfied, she walked towards the canteen. While she was on her way, she met Nikhil.
"Where were you?" Nikhil asked. "What was your 'important business'?"
"Nothing much, I called my mother to update her on our official marriage and all," Sahasra smiled.
"Liar. Tell the truth," Nikhil folded his hands.
"Raj pulled me into a classroom."
"THAT MAN—" Nikhil shouted furiously. He turned and ran in he direction Sahasra came from.
"I took care of him, don't worry," Sahasra held him back.
Nikhil smiled at her, but then said, "Sahasra, I hate that man. I'm going to the commanding officer. I've had enough. He dared to touch you and force you into a classroom."
"Nikhil, I HIT THAT DUMBASS PERV TWICE, OKAY? He's just jealous of us. He thought that since Varnika became his, I would too. But I made it clear that I am loyal to my husband and always will be. You can complain to the higher command, but right now I'm hungry — let's go to the canteen," Sahasra held his hand and intertwined their fingers.
Sahasra walked chin up while Nikhil was adoring her. Her confidence is so worth admiring. I love it when she says 'my husband' — it makes me feel reassured and blessed, he thought.
This man was surely falling for the woman whose hand he was holding — slowly but surely.
When they reached the canteen, Sahasra gestured to Nikhil that she'd be sitting with her friends. Nikhil nodded and went to sit with his mates.
Nikhil wasn't taking his eyes off Sahasra during the dinner. Geet noticed it and whispered towards her, "Why is your husband staring at you like that?"
Sahasra turned back and smiled at Nikhil. "Nothing, he's just missing me."
"Looks like he's jealous that you're not spending enough 'wifey' time with him," Ramya smirked and Sahasra kicked her under the table.
"Arre Nikhil, do you know where Raj is?" Santosh came running towards the canteen. "The Air Marshal asked me to fetch him, but I can't find him."
Before Nikhil could reply, Sahasra went to Santosh and said, "Oh you can't find Raj? That's because I locked him in a classroom."
Santosh was speechless. Was this girl for real?
Nikhil gestured to Santosh that he'd explain everything later.
"Which classroom?" Santosh asked, and after getting the reply rushed towards it.
Nikhil on the other hand was admiring Sahasra even more. "Good job yaar, I never thought you'd do such a drastic thing."
Sahasra flipped her hair, "You see, I'm special."
And you have a special place in my heart, Nikhil's subconscious mind said.
"Anyways, thank you," Nikhil spoke abruptly, embarrassed about his subconscious thoughts.
"For what?" Sahasra asked confused.
"Nothing. Good night," Nikhil said, gesturing her that her friends wre waiting fro her.
"Okay, bye," she waved. "Sweet dreams," she winked and joined her friends.
"What were you and Captain talking about?" Katha asked.
"It's private," Sahasra said.
"Ahh, I get it. Sahasra was spending her precious 'wifey' time with him," Ramya smirked and started running
"RAMYA!!" Sahasra shouted and chased her. "JUST WAIT TILL I CATCH YOU."
"That you never will, cuz your heart is busy chasing someone else," Ramya replied and laughed. "Bechari lovesick Sahasra."
