Chapter 7: MistΔkes

It's still Thursday, July 26th. Lumiose City, Kalos. 4 hours later, it's now 4:06pm. Clemont and Bonnie are back with the gang. All 5 of them are having lunch outside at a table.

Nobody's saying much at the table. There are just mainly nervous looks from everyone, with Alain just glaring around.

Clemont: "Umm... It sounded like you guys fought very well against those Tekiyoku people. Great job."

Bonnie: "Yeah, I wanna be around to see the next fight!"

Clemont: "Mistakes might have happened afterwards, but uhh... we shouldn't let that bring us down."

Alain: *glares at Dawn*

Dawn: *looks down* *whimpers* *avoids eye contact with Alain*

Ash: "Hmm..." *looks away, in thought*

Dawn: "Uhh... A-- Ash? Y-- You okay?"

Ash: *angrily* "I'm fine, Dawn. I don't need you checking up on me."

Dawn: "Oh, I-- I'm sorry... You sure you're okay?"

Ash gets up from the table suddenly.

Ash: "I need to go think." *walks away*

Bonnie: *looking nervous* .......

Alain: "Screw this crap. No beating around the bush. Dawn, you're a dummy. You had one simple job. And you lost Shizuku. That was stupid, Girl!"

Bonnie: *nervously* "Hey, ease up. It was a mistake. She didn't try to--"

Alain: "Bonnie, be quiet! No defending her. I only knew where two of the 17 Plates were. And that was one of them. That was supposed to be an easy one. Now, the Tekiyoku has their first Plate in 3 years."

Dawn: "I-- I-- I'm so sorry, I--"

Alain: "This wouldn't have EVER happened if you hadn't come! It was a mistake for Ash to bring you. You should've stayed your homeless self in Sinnoh!"

Clemont: *shocked* ........

Dawn: .........

Dawn leaves from the table.

Ash: *meanwhile* *walking through the woods*

Ash: *thinking* (If only I was...)

Dawn: "A-- Ash?"

Ash: "Dawn? I said I needed time to think. That means ALONE."

Dawn: "Sorry, I just... What's wrong?"

Ash: "Nothing!"

Dawn: "Umm.... Are you mad at me?"

Ash: *looks annoyed*

Ash keeps walking. Dawn keeps following him.

Dawn: "Umm, Ash?"

Ash: *keeps walking*

Dawn: "Ash?... Ash?.... Hey, Ash?.... Ash? Please speak to me... Ash?... Satoshi?... Ash?"

Ash: "Look! D-- Dawn, just-- just go. Leave me alone. Right now. I'll speak to you later."

Dawn: *looks at him sadly* "O-- Okay." *leaves*

Meanwhile, switch to PokéLife Apartments in Jubilife City, Sinnoh. Room 2011.

Barry: *seething* .......

Zoey: "Barry, ju-- just calm down. It'll be okay--"

Barry: "I have to leave, Zoey. I've had enough hours to think about this. I want to find Paul."
