Chapter 10: RΔnsom

Meanwhile, as the fight continues...

Alain: [Energy: 28%] *no longer trapped by the roots* "Let's finish this fi-- Wait, what? I have 28% of energy left? It was almost 70 earlier. Why?" *turns around and sees a medium-sized flower sprouted* "'Pretty Flower'? And the bigger version? Crap! He absorbed some of my energy!"

Dr. Zager: [Energy: 91%] "I used that move while I was speaking, and now I'm almost at maximum energy! Let's dance!"

Zager uses Autumn Leaves towards Alain. He tries to dodge, but couldn't avoid all of the leaves and gets several wounds, falling to the ground.

Ash: "Alain!"

With that distraction, Zager rushes and lands another strike to Ash, who's knocked to the ground.

Serena: *yells and charges towards Zager; Zager charges back*

The two collide, but Serena punches Zager in the gut, causing a light explosion and sending Zager back pretty far with immense force and even denting the ground where he landed.

Dr. Zager: *coughs* *weakly* "I must say... I'm impressed with your strength. An experiment backfired on me. Oh well, you've defeated me."

Serena: *approaches Zager, holding a fist out* "TELL ME WHERE MY MOTHER IS or else I'll beat you all the way back to Sycamore's lab!"

Dr. Zager: "Very well; I have no reason to keep that a secret, since you can no longer be used for science. After you left, my division relocated your mother to another house in Kiloude City here in Kalos. She's not harmed and the money from the experiments really helped her out. Here."

He writes the address down on some paper and gives it to her.

Serena: "If you're lying to me, then so help me, I will find you in your sleep and slice your throat off!"

Dr. Zager: "I have no reason to lie ab--"

He gets a call in his earpiece.

Dr. Zager: "Our time here is up. Farewell!" *he leaves the area*

Everyone comes out from their hiding spots and regroups. Alain helps Ash up.

Dawn: "I wonder why they retreated like that."

Ash: "I guess they knew they were beaten."

Alain: "That got rough, but it worked out and we have the Plate. You were a big help, Serena."

Clemont: "Wait! Where's Bonnie?!"

To everyone's shock, Bonnie is indeed missing. No one knows where she is. They scatter around, looking for a few minutes.

Dawn then comes across a paper on the ground, close to the edge of the ocean bank.

Dawn: "Everyone, come here! It looks like a note!" *they all gather around her as Alain reads out loud*

"If you want the girl back, bring us the Plate. Come to our lab in Geosenge Town tonight at 8pm." An address to the lab is shown here and then the note continues. "If you do not show, we will use the girl for science. If you do show and attempt to fight us, we kill the girl."

Alain, Ash, Dawn, and Serena look worriedly at Clemont.

Clemont: *sadly looks down* ....... "Bonnie......"

Alain: "I know this lab. Lysandre, the Tekiyoku leader, is from Geosenge Town and that's one of his labs. But, I highly doubt he'll be there."

Serena: "So, what should we do?"

Alain: "We have no choice but to start walking there to give up Ikazuchi and get Bonnie back. It isn't worth losing her life for this. They're not bluffing; they'll kill her if we try to fight. Hopefully we'll get the third Plate. The town is three cities away. Zager and the rest are too far away by now to be sensed by Vigilant, so they must've taken a vehicle there. Let's go." *they start walking*
