Chapter 12: The Snow is BeΔutiful

Butler: "I haven't seen you in 3 years. I see you have friends. 5 of them? What's this, a pathetic army?"

Ash: "Alain, who is this?"

Butler: "Allow me. I'm Butler Eisuke Karasu, hailing from Verdanturf Town in the Hoenn region. I'm a Flying Manipulator."

Alain: "Get out of the way, Butler. We're on a mission."

Butler: "To get one of the Plates, right? What happened to you, Alain? You used to be so dedicated to the Tekiyoku. Lysandre put so much trust in you."

Alain: "I finally woke up and found my way. That's what happened. Now move or I'll make you move."

Butler: "See, people, Alain and I used to spar a bit back in the Tekiyoku for friendly rivalry. He was always more skilled than me. Then again, I underestimated him since he's younger than me. But Alain, I've gotten better. However, I'm not here to fight. I'd rather talk and bring you back to the most dominant group in the world! What do ya say?"

Alain: "Go to hell. Now, leave."

Butler: "Well, I guess I have no choice now... Time to spar. I've been waiting on this."

Alain: "Care to make this fight interesting?"

Butler: "If I win, you'll come back to the Tekiyoku."

Alain: "Fine. And when I win, you'll leave us alone, darn it."

Ash: "When should I strike, Alain?"

Alain: "Not this time. This is my fight."

Korrina: "Alain! Be careful, please."

Shauna: "Do you two really need to do this?"

Alain: "Hey Butler. I'll make it easier for you. I won't use any Psychic moves. Just a simple Flying Manipulator spar."

Butler: "Fine by me. Begin."

The two just do hand-to-hand combat for a little bit. Then, Butler rises in the air.

Alain: "Wanna fight in the air, I see. Sounds fun!"

Alain also uses Soaring Dove to rise in the air, where the two continue fighting, but with hits being harder to connect, due to constant air movement. Alain ends up kicking Butler, sending him straight to the ground.

Alain: [Energy: 81%] *lowers to the ground and approaches Butler* "Defeated so soon?"

As Alain gets close, Butler suddenly stirs and uses Serene Gust, which blows Alain very far back. He tumbles onto the ground in pain as Butler laughs.

Butler: [Energy: 44%] "Yes, this is what I've been waiting on! Time to finally beat you!"

Ash: "You sure you don't want me to jump in?"

Alain: *weakly* "Ugh! I'm sure! I got this!"

Butler: *approaches Alain* "Once you're back home, Alain, you can catch up with all that you've missed, buddy!"

He goes to kick Alain, but Alain catches his leg, then resumes hand-to-hand combat. They move slower and Alain connects more hits this time. Butler weakly tries to strike Alain, but Alain tightly grabs his arm.

Alain: *chuckles* "Ready to go for a lift?"

While holding Butler's arm, Alain uses Leap of Faith to jump high into the air, dragging Butler with him. As they go up, Alain tosses Butler up and then strongly kicks him to the ground.

Alain: *walks to Butler and stands over him* "I believe I've beaten you, wouldn't you say?"

Butler: *weakly* "Fine, you win. Congratulations. You still got it."
