It's the next day, Wednesday, August 1st, 10:18am. The main gang has left New Bark Town and is walking straight to Ecruteak City without stopping in another city, since it's not that far to walk.

Dawn: *smiles* "How's everyone this morning?"

Alain: "Shut your punk self up."

Dawn: *whimpers* "Sorry..."

Lyra: "Aww, why do you gotta be so mean to Dane?"

Alain: "Ground Manipulation represents earth and stability. It has two abilities. The first one is called Conduit. It's an involuntary ability. This prevents users from being hit with lightning and also prevents them from being hit with the Electric Manipulation moves 'Don't Kill the Messenger' and 'Deadeye'. Also, if electricity is sent through the body, like with the Electric move 'Jolt of Light', you'll recover from it fast."

Alain: "So Ash, remember that for when you become an Electric Manipulator. Most of your moves won't work against Ground Manipulators."

Ash: "Got it."

Alain: "Continuing, the other ability is Underground Transit. It's voluntary and it costs energy. This allows users to sink into the ground and travel underground. They can move freely and see around them. It's great for stealth. 20% of energy is taken when starting this ability, and then 10% of energy is taken away for each 10 seconds while underground, but you can rise up at any time. This functions the exact same as my Flying ability, Soaring Dove."

Alain: "The 20% move is a non-harmful one called Tremble in Fear

Alain: "The 20% move is a non-harmful one called Tremble in Fear. The user stomps on the ground while rocks wrap around their feet. Then, a small earthquake starts, knocking others down. The rocks around the user's feet stop them from falling over."
